This process he uses works PERFECTLY!!! Want to know why it's not working for you??? First if all he has an UNLIMITED BUDGET!!!!!! He has sponsors paying for top of the line, the most expensive, the best of EVERYTHING. Just imagine having unlimited time and resources???? I could grow mushrooms from my ass crack with unlimited resources. His seeds? The best. His lights, his air flow, his entire house is set up for growing. Plus he's been doing it A LOOOONG TIME. Think of allll the extra stuff he does he's not showing us?????? I've used his method before there were YouTube vids about growing. Did I get the best results?? Nope. I do better in soil with dry amends. I have zero affiliation with him at all......and I don't agree with ALOT of his stuff. But it works. Imagine having an unlimited budget and sponsors to hold your hand and guide you from germ to smoke??? My dog could do it!!!

Have you seen his plants? And you still say his process works perfectly?

Fantastic first post, welcome to the forum.

This was done In Coco/perlite with dry amendments (organic 3:1:3) as I didn't have any peat around at the time and it was a pretty easy grow. Did have to water every day though. GDP auto, 7 ounce and basically filed a 2x4. Did use cannazym as well though for root breakdown.

It's not like it's impossible. Coco is just a near inert medium like peat, albeit with different cation exchange and buffering properties. The nursery I worked at for three years used Coco and amendments as their main medium for years as it's more sustainable than peat and never had issues.

Probably not the best medium choice, but if I can do it with minimal issues I don't see how it's so impossible.

I think people here are blowing it out of proportion a bit. If you are going to use Coco as a base for amendments, adding compost and ewc is a good idea.

This auto was also grown in Coco, compost and dry amendments under a mars ts600, the GDP above was full Coco/perlite.

All I'm trying to say above, is that if a complete newb like me managed to pull 12 Oz off two autos in amended Coco with no serious issues or experience, it's a bit rash to say it straight up can't be done.

I didnt find any real difference between my amended peat or Coco mediums apart from pH buffering capacity. If anything the Coco kept a far more sustainable pH reading compared to my first forays with peat and eventual acidity.

No one says this can't work. The problem comes with new growers watching a dude on youtube who, himself has stopeed using coco this way.
Not one new grower on this site has been successful with organic ammendments and coco.
Imo, anything but DTW with coco is like buying a supecharged car and disabling the supercharger.
