Darkness for Flowering

Whats up guys, I was wonderin how dark it has to be for a plant to properly flower. For example, could there be as much light as there would be outdoors from the moon during a clear night?

Absolutely, just remember the moon moves and isn't up all night. To avoid any interuption in the dark cycle, it is desired to have no light in the flowering area when the lights are out.

It's strain-dependent though. I've had some Northern Lights that hermied when I said the word "photon" too loud, and some that probably would have been find with a strobe light going all night.

What about interrupting the dark cycle say to go water your plants for 10 minutes, will this possibly hermie the plant?

How much light a plant tolerate during night-time is related to the intensity of light during the day.

A plant under 250W will not tolerate much light-leak, compared to a 1000 watt setup.

This is just a guess, I have no sources for this.

Anyway, I aim for pitch black. Oh, and do not believe that green light is OK, it is NOT.

I would not do this. However, in nature you have lightning-storms etc. So a VERY brief time might be OK (if you can water in miliseconds :-)

well so far ive been in there about 4 or 5 times at about 5-10 minutes each time, haven't seen any signs of hermie yet. (50 days into flower)

I once grew in a closet and had my vegging plants in there too, divided by black poly film Velcro to seal, unfortunately i had a couple light leaks which caused 2 of my plants to hermie, now I have 2 separate rooms.
