dark root

ok here is the deal i have a plant that is 6 weeks old and for the first moth it was in soil. i then transplanted it to a top drip hydro set-up but my main root is very discolored. it seems to have had no effect on the plant. anyone got any ideas or should i even worry about it? here are a couple of pics

OK what you have to do is cut that main root off.... until all the discolored parts are gone....ii mean other wise your plant get stunted and enventually die.
