Man this blows! So I go to check the girls tonight and much to my surprise the center hanging support on my tent snapped and in result dropped my light hood and subsequently ripped my inline fan down and damaged a bunch of ducting as well. It completely fried my largest plant (Been vegging for a month or so) and burnt a bunch of leaves on the others. I tried to take a couple clones from what's left of the top of the plant, not sure if they'll survive, they're all curved, but let's hope for the best.

First picture is of the plant yesterday - healthy and green.
Second pic is right after I reattached the light today.
The last two explain themselves pretty well...

The amount of times I have dealt with this problem yes she can continue growth give here 3 weeks remove any dead foliage and fix anything that has been destroyed make sure the light is supported properly so as stated earlier you don't burn your house down.

You can salvage that plant. As said above, cut off the damaged areas and give it a little time. It will re-generate itself.

Yeah real glad no fires happened or the glass didn't shatter on the hood. I ended up calling it a loss on that plant as most of the stems were snapped or bent beyond repair. The smart pot it was in melted quite a bit as well! Hopefully the clones root, the genetics were so good on it.

What were the genetics?
Medi-Juana (AMS Link) But that scorched plant was the strongest of them all and by far the largest of the group.

Care to inform us on the model of this inferior quality tent?
I decided to cheap out when getting the tent, went with growtents.com (Link to the exact tent I got). The support isn't the only bad part about it. Upon setting up the tent and zipping the zippers on it, the seams ripped in a multitude of spots. It was setup correctly, the stitching however wasn't up to par where it ripped. Also had a bunch of light leaks too :finger:

That's a bummer man. Like others have stated, at least there was no fire. I have three cheapo ebay tents that are great, really blows that you happened to find a crappy one.

What brand/make are they? I'm looking for a better one (preferably without light leaks this time) for when I put them into flower

Wow that sucks man! So glad there wasn't a fire. Everytime I mount a light I make sure it has a safety attached to it. I put hooks in the wall and tie hemp string to the hooks then to the hangers and make sure its tight. If the upper supports fail my safety saves the light from hitting the plants or causing any damage to anything. It just swings back and hits the wall breaking the bulb at the very worst. You having a tent its simply a matter of finding a spot to tie safety line too.

They'll probably magically pull out some papers which say that the guy's ballast was too heavy. But you can try.
