starting to see roots actually growing through the paper.

I realize now that I made the rookie mistake of too much love in the form of water for my seedlings. Luckily I figured it out and have stopped overwatering and they are starting to look better. They only get water every few days now and the next set of leaves look better.

I am chomping at the bit to repot them but I will hold off. It just concerns me that they’re not getting anything from the black gold seedling mix.

So water in some nutes. Not even enough to run through the bottom though.

ok, will add minimal amount of nutes. fox farm chart says to give 6 tsp of big bloom per gallon of water. i am going to do a fraction of that at next watering, about 25%.

I'd do more like 1/8th of whatever the veg nuts say per gallon

i did 1/4th of suggested prior to your reply. i will dilute that to 1/8th for the next feeding, probably in a week.

We'll if it goes well, keep it at 1/4. I was just saying less to be careful. You can always add more. Can't take it back from the soil though.

I actually read that dakini kush can be sensitive to nutrients. if i see any negative results i’ll flush it out.

DONT BE AFRAID to let your soil dry the Fuck out man. Its completely fine. Only once your plant physically starts to droop, leaves soften, and branches start to bend do you actually NEED to water it. Since you fed it this time, DO NOT WATER IT AGAIN. Let the roots reeeeeeeally explode this next few days searching out that nutrition and moisture. Until the top of your soil and even an inch or more below it is BONE DRY, DO NOT WATER. Once your plant starts to droop from thirst, you have about 3-6hrs before its completely fucked.

yeah ive been letting them get bone dry. the paper cups dry out faster but ive been waiting 2 or 3 days.

rh outside the tent is 29%. inside is 62%.

i haven’t been running the in-line because it bottoms out the humidity. today i set up a humidifier by the intake hose and am running it to see how rh reacts with in-line running constantly. hopefully i can maintain a good humidity while increasing air exchange

60's is plenty humid. Be 30-40 in flower.

yeah but the inline drops it to 29% or less without the outside humidifier. gonna see how the additional humidifier outside the tent affects the drop inside.

Once your girls get bigger, you won't need that humidifier at all.

ok so the additional humidifier by the intake allows the inline fan to run constantly and only drops rh to around 55%

I know it’s not a definitive method of sexing and that these plants are not showing preflowers yet because they’re too young....but i am seeing crossed stipules on the two more successful seedlings.

Question:

I bought a meter to test ppm of my tap. It tested at 90 ppm out of the faucet. Is this good? Should I add cal mag or will the happy frog soil and tap water provide what my plants need?

I went against advice on Tuesday and repotted the seedlings. They were looking terrible. In the future I will not use those 2” cups. Will start in something larger with better soil and a top layer of seedling mix.

I moved the 5 struggling seedlings into 3 gallon fabric pots with happy frog soil. I germinated a 6th seed in a 1 gallon pot with mostly happy frog and top 3 inches of black gold seedling. It popped quickly and is doing well.

The other 5 seedlings are loving their new home and are growing. Every day at first light I can notice a difference.
