dim a1400ma driver to 50% running the cobs at 700ma?
correct. these drivers are made to give you CC/constant current/amps.

in future:::i can reconfigure the lights for a larger tent and run at 1400ma.
sure.good idea.

if i went for 4 cobs in a small tent 2*2.5?
almost square space-> square aligment would be logical.

i dont know too much about this forum, but you shold ask question in the question section, as its quite common FAQs

@welight Hi Mark, any update on the status of the 90-CRI CXB3590s, both 4000K and 3500K? Did you get any, or do you have any currently in stock?
I remember you saying you might take spectral readings of the 90-CRI chips with your own equipment and post the charts, any chance of that still?

Thanks

Hi, @welight

Not sure if here is best, but might help others in similar ,

been lurking here and elsewhere in an attempt to get my head round LED,
The option I like has import and tax complications so I'm looking at making my own,

I saw Cutter's kits and liked the idea,
What's the best option from Cutter for a 120 by 80 by 230 or a little under- area ?
I would make the frame.

I would like 3 Cree cobs down the middle,
with 6 coloured or IR or what the experts recommend flanking them,
and would like the drivers remote from it,
for neatness and weight. And a lottery win an...

WoW -just looked at your list of suppliers ,if you can't sort this, no one can.

Be glad of your help.

im refining the design and calculating cost at scale. its all that i'm working on this week. im really trying to do a big initial run to get them in peoples hands for a reasonable price.
-the slots that you see on the tops of the bars for 'perfect' spacing of 3,4,5 cob configs is making each unit cost $8 more than having no slots which allows me to nest these on a sheet of aluminum and push the waterjet to max speed. but I think people are going to want those slots for a true: screwdriver & wire strippers only build. ill keep everyone posted on when where and how to get them.
Any more news on this brother Mau5? You got me all giddy with that new design :hump:

it kind of died on the vine. the entire design is a pain in the D to bend. meaning the metal brake I have access to cant really bend these tight corners. And it looks suspiciously similar to the cxp250. I want to work on something that is mine, original and innovative. stay tuned

Guys
I have everything in stock including new brackets, except the Ideal Holders(majorPIA) if you can source holders locally I can provide the rest of the kit, Price less the holder cost?
Let me know if this works for anyone
Cheers

Are those heatsinks predrilled and tapped for the 3590 to be screwed down directly, without the holder? Any alternative for the heatsinks that can take 100+ W passively?
