Curling leaves, yellow spots

Help, my plants are looking sick!! I've got browning yellow spots developing on the two bottom leaves of some of the seedlings. They are about 3 inches tall and are just into their 3rd set of leaves, week old or so. The spots are only in the middle.

Also, all my plants' leaves are curling into a saddle shape, with the edges wrinkling up.

I'm running a hydro setup in rockwool using botanicare pure blend pro grow and mineral matrix.

What does this mean??

hey man pictures are worth a 1000 words, but usually if leaves are curlin up it means heat stress. if the edges are yellowin and dyin then it cood b nute burnt but like i sayed pix are really helpful

hi stco,
i dont have a huge amount of plant diagnosis experience, but ill tell you what I think it could be......

looks like it could be a micro deficiency. ( zinc? calcium?)
or a nutrient burn issue.(although-fuzzybuds-I start giving my plants nutrients in low amounts as soon as they sprout)

first pick looks a bit like overwatering?

maybe check into the possibility of a bug infestation, although I really dont have much experience with those types of issues..maybe somone who does could clarify.......

hope this helps and happy trails

I have been fighting with ph for the past week. Here is a new set of pics. Right now I am reading 6.8 ph and 480 ppm.

water 80ppm
Botinacare Veg 300ppm
Botinacare CalMag 50ppm
Mineral Matrix 50ppm

I've been trying to keep the ph at 5.8.

Water 2X per day for 15 min.

I believe there are 3 strains in there.

What do you think? Does it look overwatered? What are those spots?

not sure about the spots but it doesx look like a lil bit of heat stress with the leaf edges curling up like that and all get the ph under control it could be locking some of the nutes out as well and make sure the temps are in the 70's should get things into a better situation remeber 6.8 is good for soil not so much for the hydro .gl

I agree, looks like you've had both high and low PH problems, as well as locking nutes out. Plants aren't as resistant to stress when they are sick, which is why you might be getting some heat stress on an otherwise fine situation. But, low PH can sometimes mimic heat stress, so that's likely the case.

Im mostly a soil guy but it looks like either you dont have enough nutrients or they have been locked out for toxic growing media and/or bad ph conditions. Also though the drooping leaves from yours pics suggest they are being over watered which would cause a lack luster root growth and would be a very likely candidate for having such poor plant/nutrient health and the plants not being able to feed normaly caouseing your growing medium to become toxic

Just noticed these - is it......... Mold????

S.O.S. (please :D)

My o my what do I do?

could be mold it happens alot in rock wool that is not coverd up to keep the light off it and it is moist get some mylar and cover the cubes to keep the light off to curb the growth down can also cause algea to foarm and make ph swing .

Great help you guys have been so far. I really appreciate the friendliness of everyone on this board.

Hmm, I think it is mold then. Do you have any recommendations on how to get rid of it?

Also, if you don't mind me asking, how wet should the cubes be throughout most of the day?

try some hydrogen peroxide they sell the food grade stuff 35% at most hydroponic stores but be sure to dilute it down... it will also turn your roots bright white.

Going to flower tomorrow. Here is a new set of pics.

Air 75 F
Water 68 F
PPM 1300 half Grow half Bloom Botanicare nutes
ph 5.6

The plants took off when we started adding the right amount of grow nutes (and shaking the damn nutrients container before pouring it). We also lowered the plants tray, increasing the distance to the light.
