CROP #2 using bubbles

I picked up my supplys today washed the buckets,baskets,rings....I am ready....I am waiting on two of the clones that I put in late that I want to use...Let them root just a little bit more....

I have a question...I have been vegging with the light on for 24 per day....I wonder if I should try 18/6...or...20/4 this time around when I turn on the big lights...

We veg at 18/6 and it seems to work out well. Helps a bit with the electric bill too!!

OK....Thats two votes for 18/6....

I never see the power bills....my wife takes care of that....I have only done the 24/7....with my other grows during the veg cycle...

maybe I should work my way down and try 20/4 first...and then the next grow go 18/6....other than the cost savings what would the pros @ cons be?

18/6 gives your plants time to sleep.. which lets them go through different phases of growth structure and gives a better overall growth.

24/0 gives your plants the most lumens.. which lets them attain maximum growth that is generally "poorly managed" by the plant, giving stretching and other undesirable growth traits.

There's a reason not everyone has their lights on all the time.

I ordered seeds once from ansterdam,it took 3 months to get them....I think customs held on to them for a while,because the package was cut open when I got them....they were WW seeds.....

I germed all ten seeds...and its a good thing I did because only 4 of them were females....and it was a pain in the ass it took awhile to grow them in dirt....Then I took cuttings from the females....then while they were growing I took more cuttings from the best of the four.... then I gave them away....Only one of the females was a big producer....I got over 12.ozs off the best female....the other three fems they were good and frosty but the buds were small....

The purple that I am doing now is my favorite....you have to be careful where you smoke it....the smell is very strong...I don't no what strain it is but it is going to be hard to grow anything else....I will post plenty of pics for this grow...

I think we have some happy plants....The roots are really taking off....I had to change the nutes after the first day, the PH went to 7.0 from5.6....but now it is stable and holding at 6.1 in the buckets and 5.8 in the barrell....

This is only day three sence I have transfered to the system....

Hello...VO...I took the cuttings on sept 20th....I had them in my clone buckets for 22 days...And then put them in the tent 3 days ago

Are your lights lowered or are you out of head room in your pictures on page one? (Your last grow, in 'full bloom'.)

I was out of head room....I think I have almost 6' feet....the tent is 7'....

Ah I see clones.. Clones always take me longer in DWC than seeds =p

Nitro nice plants how do you get those roots on cuttlings seem like mine never take off like that in my rapid rooters.

Hello...I will go over what I do when I take cuttings....The next time I take cuttings I will take pics....I take a cutting with with razer blade and I slice the stem into quarters up about an half an inch...then I dip it into clonex gell then put it into the plug...when the roots start growing they hang down in the clone bucket until they find the water in the bottom of the clone bucket...inside the bucket I use a ECO264 sumersible pump I leave the filter on the pump so the roots don't get sucked up into the pump...the water level is to the top of the spigot on the top of the pump....I use clonex solution for food even if I grow for eight weeks in my clone bucket...I start with about 300ppm then as they get bigger I go as high as 600-700ppm....

The roots are pretty long after two weeks....but I useally go around 3 weeks just to give them more of a head start....somebody that has been doing this awhile helped me set this up....It's the only method I know...It works good...I use a 90w led UFO for my clones...

How is that??? With clones once rooted you can pretty much hit them with full strength nutes. Seedlings you have to baby until they are strong enough to hit with full strength nutes.
