When you run fresh frozen, does it turn out more of a wax? And does the yield suffer? I have a buddy that gets stuff from Colorado and its a waxy type of a product but it has a insane flavor. I was always under the impression that was fresh frozen.

The only time I ran fresh frozen was for ice water extraction.
All small buds n trim were frozen as soon as they were removed from the plant.

However that ice water bubble bag ships is too much work. Lol

From the "fresh frozen" stuff we see out here in Co, it can be wax/budder/shatter just dep on temp and purge. I find the wax from freshfro to be considerably more flavorful then any extracts made from slightly decarb meds. A very interesting case point is green dot labs, utilizing entire plant extracts from cryogenically frozen material (thinking this is their lab grade fresh frozen but with a cryo freeze or liq nitrogen) as well as a signature thin film purge for every g sold. only place in CO that has an industry employee following and gets 65/g. I can't afford it but it's awesome to watch and learn and replicate as closely as one can. Plus a few of my buds have been fanboys from the getgo and have picked up every drop of every strain, talking next level extracts a true treat to behold. Of course always nice have some of my own grown/blown that pops their tops too, i digress...

as for crazy BHO stories, when I first saw it made in Cali it was 2 brothers rolling around the ukiah area with 4ft x 2in dia pvc with a drilled cap on one end and hose clamped screen on the other. filthy harsh nasty oil it was the first time i'd seen a lb stuffed and blown onto straight sliding glass doors there was so fucking many cans of tane used.

lol great thread. And to think this shit is still going on. I just read earlier a guy at GC only purging on water bath for 45 min. and calling that a clean product. Guy obviously has no idea what he is doing. I gotta say I am glad a lot of people paved the way before I started. No dumb shit from me, at least while making bho.

No matter how long you have been making BHO, there will always be risk factor. Sometimes shit just happens. One thing that has always scared me is static electricity.

A buddy told me tonight that he has a habit of opening the valve to the vac pump while pump is off, sucking pump oil into his batch. I told him to put a check valve on the pump orifice and he was like "No way, a $15 part coulda saved all those batches?" Lol

A compilation of what to do other then blast indoors. But I have to give it to this guy, those are insane yields.

Fucking outrageous!!! Ive never blasted buds only trim about an ounce at a time, the most i ever got was around 6 odd grams and i was fucking cuming when i saw the initial diarrea splurge. I also think ive been blasting too much gas, now i put my finger under the drip when it loses colour and feel how sticky it is, been making bho since july/august. Heres my very last run, it looks like caramel sucking lozenges.
