I posted this up on another thread.

Seeds first put in bowl of warm water in early May. Put in the ground with 2 or less nodes on May 23rd during the morning. Remember the day clearly due to a significant graduation i attended that evening. Things have gone great. Absolutely stellar and it's a pleasure to have some others (who appreciate this plant as much as I do) to share such a blessed grow and all around blessed experience. It's not rocket science rather it's a matter of a little know how, a little hands on trial & error, and the gumption to get it done. Get it done when some days you'd rather flop out on the couch early or maybe sleep in for a change. But don't mistake that for complaining. Nothing but grateful for this little chapter in my life. An epic chapter for me personally. Hat tip to all you who frequent here.

The above two posts are Honey Hole pix. As mentioned in earlier postings I lost 12 of 23 plants early on to Coons. I flubbed and used fish emulsion on a patch by a creek. Simply failed to think that one through. Lesson learned, check. At first I was a bit flustered and was playing with the idea of trapping the Coon or Coons. I use to trap Coyote and Fox as well as the occasional Coon. The know how and equipment were readily available and I was going to run with that but then had other thoughts about the situation. Even broke out a couple of live traps but on the way to taking them out there I changed my mind. In my mind whats to be will be and I was determined to let go and live so to speak. I also ended up with the mentality of live and let live concerning the Coons. No problem with my conscience if I had taken them out. Maybe some other time down the road I will. It's not a wrong or right in my book. It just so happens that I have grown softer and more thoughtful in my life. Being a control freak is very taxing to my soul and in my humble opinion control is merely an illusion anyway. It's worth noting that the day i put the patch out I also put 3 runs of fishing line up around the patch to keep deer out and that worked like a charm. I also put a 2ft. fence around it using chicken wire. More of a deterrent than an outright security system against the natives. After the raping the Coons gave me it was smooth sailing minus a couple more Coon visits that didn't damage any plants. Smooth sailing until about a week ago when what appears to have been an assault by a gopher. Again I was flustered and was determined to dig and bury a great deal of double layered chicken wire as a defense. But after getting the wire down there and tile spade I realized the enormity of the task at hand. I had someone special with me that week and opted to spend that time with them rather than burning the hours to secure the plants best that I could. I was fit to be tied temporarily until I again came to the decision to let go of my perceived control.

Some of you know the amount of blood, sweat, and tears that can go into a semi-guerrilla grow. Nevertheless I am comfortable knowing that I have went the extra mile to bring about this personal epic grow. If everything finishes up without a hitch then I will be thrilled. If not it was still one of hell of a run for me personally. I expanded my know how and confidence in a way that I simply did not envision going into this last minute decision to grow this year. No matter how this ends the day to day experience thus far is priceless for me personally. Rippers and John Law can't take that from me. But sure I've got a hunger, thirst, and drive to finish this off and enjoy the fruits of my labor.

The temps and weather have been picture perfect nearly the entire grow so far. My honey hole plants will put on some significant growth still yet before transitioning into full fledged flower mode. I'm excited to see just how big they are next week at this time. Here is a screen shot of the 7 day forecast. My area is typically 2-4 degrees cooler than this forecast.

Last year someone shot the coon and ate him. Had pan fry pics and everything.

My honey hole ladies continue to grow like mad. I had great anticipation this morning on my way to check them. They are still in pre flower and vegging like mad. The weather conditions are phenominal. I also hit them with a healthy dose of fertilizer last night. MG 18-18-21 tomato food. Just switched over to that recently with everything because some are starting to flower. Ordering Maxsea 3-20-20 soon as I can swing the bill. Things are just that fucking tight or I would already have the Maxsea. Won't be long and I will. Can't wait to see them tomorrow morning....I'll prob be back to visit them later today although after the rain yesterday I won't need to water yet. STOOOOOKED

Yes they will indeed. I'm fully expecting a surreal visit to The Honey Hole in the morning.

Well last night I had my first piece of this just ten minutes removed from the oven. The steam was rolling off of it. Put 3 scoops of ice cream on top of it. As I was finishing the contents of my bowl looked like a blackberry cobbler float...ya it was pretty fucking good. So I went back a little bit ago for a mid morning snack with some milk and a cup of coffee.

Here is the recipe. Just add whatever fruit tickles your fancy.

5 cups of whole berries
2 cups of flour
1.5 cups of sugar
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1 cup of buttermilk or whole milk or half and half
1/3 cup of melted butter

For the topping:
1.5 cups of sugar
2 tablespoons of cornstarch
1 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of boiling water

Directions:
preheat oven to 350
Coat bottom and sides of a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick spray
Make an even layer of berries in the bottom of the dish
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, milk, and butter and blend into a batter.
Spread batter evenly over the fruit. The batter will be thick.
Mix sugar, salt, and cornstarch together and sprinkle over batter.
Pour boiling water evenly over the sugar and cornstarch mixture. (Do not blend)
Place baking dish in hot oven
Bake for one hour
For an extra crusty top switch the oven over to broiling at the end of baking time and finish cobbler with a minute or so under the brolier.
Serve up with ice cream, whip cream, or nothing at all. Or do as ol Jbird does and put whip cream and ice cream on it.

Note: The person who has been baking this with my steady supply of blackberries usually makes a double batch. The BOMB
