Cotton Candy strain grow advice

Looking for people who have experience with Cotton Candy grow, what nutes it likes, how much space/light it likes, veg and flower times etc.

Also wondering if this would be a good 12/12 from seed plant, or what your opinions on obtaining the highest yields from a 1000w light. (yield/time/electrical ratio)

Thank you in advance.

Dont waste your time the end product is not potent. Too much hassle for an average smoke. Is it sweet? Yes, but thats about it. Not worth the time and effort in my opinion. Buds are too fluffy.

Would really appreciate any experience/advice on this strain. I would want to know if this strain is good for a 12/12 from seed lighting and how it reacts to lst and topping. It's such a great plant but info seems to be limited :(

Not potent? I would have to disagree, as the Cotton Candy I had tried on my trip to B.C was very potent stuff and it was delicious. From what I have read it yields quite well as well and is resistant. If you were to suggest a superior strain, what would it be? I am looking for something that my buddies would easily enjoy as well (so a good bud that can be well marketed) Thanks.

I grew a couple last round, they looked like shit pretty much the whole time flowering ... Picky about the nutes. My other plants with the same nutes (AN Sensi and that whole line-up) were fine, but the Cotton Candy were fussy.
I let them go anyway and the flowers actually came out looking (and smoking) pretty nice.

Im not sure, but I think I had a nutrient lock out situation happen. I think they need really light nutes to start and maybe I started a little heavier than they wanted...just a guess though. So be careful there.

Sorry I can't be more help

In my limited experience, Green Crack has been my best plant. I grew one Jack Herer plant, and that was also very good and not fussy. Just drooped her leaves a bit when she was thirsty, otherwise she was a quiet girl and I enjoy the flower.

But back to that Green Crack, I got 2 clones and flowered them both with almost no veg. Still got a great yield (over an oz per plant) of the most dens flower I've seen.
Those plants were beautiful from start to finish, not fussy at all, SUPER dense buds, great smoke. Just beautiful. And unlike the lovely Blue Dream I had in there, the Green Crack was SO simple to trim.
And the buds from the GC...did I mention dense? Haha if I shake my jar I'm pretty sure they'll crack the friggin thing

Hahaha, awesome comments, thanks bro. Jack would seem to be a great plant to grow, and it's pretty popular over here. I am also reading some great things about AK-47.

Have you tried AK and how would you compare Jack and AK?

With enough comments from people's experience I might finally get the best idea. If people were to choose between Cotton Candy, Jack, AK, or Purple Kush for overall best grow/yield/value, what would it be?

The picture looks like shit man, the buds are beautiful though. I'm smoking some Cotton Candy since reading this thread haha it's not bad.
What I've noticed about the Jack, is that there seem to be a lot of phenos...that, or people are just calling shit Jack...which is probably common among popular strains. I've just noticed it with Jack lately so be mindful of that when sourcing.

I haven't grown any AK varieties, so no help there, sorry.

Here's what I know about Kush varieties...PM. I have some Kush strains going right now and I'm fighting PM for the first time since growing outdoors. It could be other things, but I have read that Kush strains tend to be susceptible to PM and my admittedly limited experience seems to support that.

My next strain will be Dr Who from TGA for a few reasons, one of them being Sub's claim of high PM resistance. He's got other strains on his site (if I remember correctly) that he claims have great PM resistance. Not saying to buy his stuff, just something to consider.

I'm gonna look into that, thanks alot. Where did you get the Jack you used and would you consider it one of the good phenos?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm just so intrigued by all these things and love here people's comments. I could probably pick people's brains for days lol

I got my Jack as a clone from one of the dispensaries around here (they are pretty much everywhere in my city) so I can't really help you source that, sorry. It was good though lol

If you buy from a seed bank you should be fine though

Sensi is supposed to have the legit Jack, it's expensive though. But as far as I have read it's the only place that really has the legit Jack.

Ak is a good yielding strain that can be quite stinky and is very beginner friendly.

For Nutes All Purpose 20/20/20 like jacks or plant prod, depending where you're from. By far the easiest to use and the cheapest. Get like 1kg of powder $10-$13.

You simply use 20/20/20 throughout the entire grow process?? Because hydro shop here had a detailed list of different timings every week using a total of about 8-9 different liquids.

Of course they did, and I bet that entire recipe costs what $100-$300? There's plenty of old timers on here that have been growing with 20/20/20 for years and swear by it. I personally spent $80 on advanced nutrients for my first grow and had constant problems throughout flower every single time, with this 20/20/20 my last grow was my healthiest yet, I have only done one grow with it but I am impressed so far.

I had great results with AN SENSI BLOOM. The cotton candy loves it!! You just gotta keep your ppm's below 900. That means don't go full strength. As soon as you see leaf burn back off a bit on the nutes. But I ran cotton candy without using co2 and it was pretty fluffy. As soon as I added co2 to the room they plumped right up!!! They do great in a greenhouse too! They are very resilient and do great in cold temps. They are a bit finicky but well worth the product if you know how to finish properly and let them mature. Some nodes turn Purple and red which is great eye candy.
