this is also known as probable cause. reasonable suspicion is not enough to search your vehicle unless given permission. However if they call in a k-9 unit, and the dog alerts the handler of a positive, they now have all they need to search your vehicle without your consent.

I've had cops flatout lie and say they saw a baggie with white powder on the floor in my car, they searched and found nada. Not even an empty baggie. If they wanna do it they're gonna

People would ask him lots of legal questions, he was really nice. Said he did not believe marijuana laws were correct although I don't think he smoked. It was years ago so it is hard to remember.

oh and when this happened my buddy was irate and took their badge numbers, names, etc to report because it was bullshit. They just laughed at him. I suppose if they had found something we could of gotten off on a technicallity but I doubt it
