cooling questions

if I ran a 600w HPS light with a non-enclosed reflector in a 4x4 tent, with a 240cfm fan pulling air through a carbon filter (not sure which one yet), do you think that would be enough ventilation to keep the light heat relatively cool? Or is it a better idea to get an enclosed reflector so that the light/reflector have its own fan and cooling, and in that case is a CFM rated fan overkill can I get away with an inline fan or two for the light cooling alone?

I've heard that the enclosed reflectors take a little more work to maintain since the light encasing gets dirty and reduces the output of the light, so it would seem that if I can get away without using the non-enclosed reflector it would be better.

The room temperature where the tent is will be regulated and shouldn't be too hot, say low 70s.

About the Carbon filter, I'm not sure which one to pick. For lights and fans you can get a ballpark estimate with the watts/lumens and CFM numbers but I haven't seen any type of numeric ratings for filters which give an indication of what sort of spaces they are most suited for by square or cubic feet.

hey bud, i am in a 4x4 room with open reflector. i have a squirrel cage fan on the outside of my room with a hose that goes to my room. helps regulate the temp good.couple rotating fans inside and my plants look good. and it stays dry in the room. your plants should look great with a 600w in a 4x4 room. good luck
