K so I rip big clones and strip the bottom shit off and left with a 9inch+ stem with a few nodes on the top. Now around here I've read to bury the plant so that the stem is in the dirt and the growth is above the soil line. Now watchin a home and garden show called "15 landscaping mistakes" they said 1 mistake was that ppl plant too deep and it suffocates the plant and the ideal depth is to have a cpl inches above the root ball. I understand their theroy and wondered if this would apply to MJ or not as its an anual plant and not a peranial. It other words would the suffocation afect it short term or in the long run as trees and shrubs grow for yrs and yrs, So it would slow it down or kill it down the road. Sry if I'm not clear there but its hard for me to get out and explain what I'm thinking. :)

If you're sticking a 9+ inch stem stripped of its shit with a few nodes at its top in the soil, you're wasting your time.
If you're asking whether the old soil line makes a difference when transplanting a rooted plant, no not really. Similar to tomato plants, cannabis can be transplanted deeper than its original depth with no ill effects.
