Using Too Much Nutrients

Overfeeding leads to a well known affliction called nutrient burn (commonly referred to as “nute burn”). Nutrient burn won’t kill your plants in most cases, but they will leave an eye-catching reminder of their presence for the remainder of the grow.

Let the plant grow too much. Indoor we decide when to change the photoperiod, from vegetating to flowering state and we forget to consider that marijuana just before flowering gives a stretch in which according to the variety may double in size. Indoor let the plant in vegetative state till less than 1 meter tall.

Forgetting that ac and dehumidifiers are an integral piece of the puzzle.
Beat me to it.
Also rig your dehumidifiers res tube to an enclosed container. Those small 1 and 2 gal ones fill up too fast in 60+ humidity areas.
5 gallon bucket all the way.

Stuffing too many plants under a light.

Use a moisture probe to check deep in soil.

Change clothes if you visit your buddy's grow or any sort of gardening outlet with plants.

Have spare timers and bulbs. Even if it's keeping old bulbs.

Keep a dry erase calendar with wet erase markers to keep tabs on when you did what. Feedings etc. also notes on plants if you're doing a pheno hunt.

Keep grow room clean. Mentor stressed picking up and clearing out debris continually and thorougly cleaning between grows. Going through my third summer and have never had a bug problem in spite of my room being in a buggy barn. I allow some spiders in my room, however.

Stress on a marijuana plant can cause it to do some weird things and stress comes in many forms. Don't put lots of stress on your plants.

if using a heat mat in winter for clones and seedlings use perlite or coco etc as a layer underneath the jiffy pellots. lets roots grow a bit longer without getting burnt/stop growing. but if doing so be carefull of roots joint together

I found this helpful
"Overanalyze their grow. A first grow is like a first born child: you pay attention to every little thing that happens. Further, you worry at the first sign something may be wrong. Pay attention to what happens in your grow, but do not try and find a remedy for every yellow leaf. Frequently, the remedy of flushing your medium causes more problems than it solves. Be responsive when things go wrong, but be conservative in your remedies."

Figure out the most effective transplanting method before attempting a transplant, as to not stress, drop, or destroy.

Because more than likely you'll be rushing through the transplant process, so better know what you're doing, this forum and youtube helps.

Dont over complicate things... Simple is good.

Learn how to stay a few steps ahead of your plants, being "behind" is a bad thing and lost days add up. Wait on your plants, they should not be waiting on you..
