I wouldn't know much past the mid-eighties when I started growing shrooms and never tripped again on chemicals, but there was nothing close to four-way window-pane acid in my 15-years of tripping on chemical lsd.

I imagine it must have existed, I've heard rumors of pure liquid, but wasn't any blotter or microdot that I ever ran into and I ran into quite a bit back then

I wouldn't bother with it anyway, you don't know what's in it and when you're young you don't think about it, but it's probably not the best idea to be taking shit you don't know, everybody should just grow their own shrooms if they're interested in tripping, just my two cents

been at least 30 yrs from last trip for me.all I need now is my flowers but back in the day i have tripped hundreds of times I use to go to high school tripping balls never got paranoid never had a bad trip just laugh my ass off

The dead family produced acid from the 60's on by Stanley.And traveled with it to shows fucking up thousands of heads.that 'good' 70's blotter that thump is speaking on,could have been that.i'm sure someone still has his recipe.i get what you guys are saying about panes.i m not disputing that,but this notion that after they were done being produced,everything else was wack,is well,wack.

Same here my last trip was at my last Dead show up in Highgate Vermont in July of 95, just before Jerry died, and I won't be tripping again either but yeah forget about the chemicals, once I got going on the shrooms I never looked back.

@ Nature Boy I don't know who said everything but the window pane was wack, but I did say the windowpane was the strongest I've ever seen, good luck

Edit: now that I think of it I think the window pane was the shit people were taking and jumping out of windows etc. because it went away seemingly right after a few high-profile cases (eg. art linkletter's daughter) & I never saw the real after 75 or thereabouts

Same here, '74 and no name weed. We never knew to give it a name. It was whatever anyone could score. Didn't even know there were buds. It all looked like oregano when we got it.

As for ammonia, it's part of the decomposition process when you bale up a crop (straw, hay, etc) green and it starts to compost internally. I doubt anyone would waste any time or effort adding embalming fluid or anything else to weed.

Had some tabs of White Lightning, supposed to be Owsley's. 1968, Estes Park, CO. It was during the democratic convention in Chicago I recall but the trip was stunning and unforgettable. Very visual and exciting. Then in coming months we were treated to Sunshine and Orange Crush. Very up happy trippy-dippy acid into the early 70's. Then got married and eased up on the trips. Oh, but this thread is about weed and it is still the only drug you don't have to pay for the next day except for a little slime.

I was 16, first time was on some quality blond Lebanese hash. I had only been smoking cigarettes for a few months, so the smoke was harsh at first, but I got used to it pretty quickly. I was with a group of friends and we were having a crazy laugh about who remembers what. What I do remember though, is that it was the first time in my life that I felt like I didn’t have a care in the world, and in many ways it was a precursor for me to seek different states of consciousness through meditation and other psychoactive and psychedelic experiences.

Wow, it was the 70's. I used to smoke with friends out of home made pipes. But the thing I remember most was "Revenge of the Jedi" in 1978. I smoked up in the parking lot and went in to see the movie. I got a coke and popcorn, and was about a quarter of the way in the movie when I realized I was stoned out of my mind. Later that year I went to a friends house and he was cutting up a brick of real Columbian gold. It was real gold, they type you never see. There was some shake left, and we rolled joints and got really really high. But for the most part in the 70's it was lumbo for $30 or $35 an oz. Roll into joints and pass around at parties. It took about two joints to get people stoned. Those were some lazy days, frisbee on the quad at college and smoking up with one hitters. Good times had by all.

Estes Park is one of my favourite places but haven’t been there in 20 years due to an unfortunate incident at the border . Maybe someday I’ll get to go back .

Yeah, a fantastic area and vibe. 50+ years ago for me but it's one of my favorite and most vivid memory ever except for that one bad trip later that summer.

1978, junior in HS. (Late developer). Brick schwag, hash, some opium. Didn’t see good weed for MANY years. We smoked everywhere, but lots of all nighters playing D&D. Boating at night is pretty cool, stoned. My buddy BS & I broke into our county zoo at night, high, & that was a great time. All the weird, diverse night creatures calling. The massive size of lions, sleeping 6” from me (but on the other side of 4” glass). We got chased out, separately, & each thought the other had been busted, til we met @ the car.
Getting blown on my 2nd floor porch, looking out over the city @ night, with a joint in one hand, & a beer in the other.
