Summer of 1978......bought an oz of Maui Wowie from a dentist neighbor buddy for $300, an unheard of price back then. Best smoke I ever had, even after 30+ years. One joint would get 6-7 of us lit til the next morning. Lime green, tiny buds, pine smell and pure psychedelic buzz.

I was 13-14 and didn't know then to even look at the quality as I woulda assumed it was all the same at that point and also nothing had names till a cpl years later bubble gum and blueberry became known to me around '92 on the east coast. tho by then I knew there was a wide range of flavor and smells junst we knew no names we called it whatever. allot of pines and skunks back then near me also the stuff that used to smell like bug spray we used to say

I also remember this one strain we got for almost 6 months back in 98/99 it had a flavor like sweet green grapes. Not the purple flavor. We got it straight from the grower back then. It was sweet, smooth and not too much couch lock, which makes me think it was a hybrid. I never knew the strain name. Back the the was only hydro which we got from the white guys, ses (short for sensimillia) which we got from the black guys and outdoor which was always full off undeveloped seeds and never trimed

you remember the stuff sometimes smelled like embalming fluid aka phermaldeheid(no idea how to spell that lol). I had read recently tho this is caused by poor curing or storage, like a certain mold species. regardless I have not smelled that on weed since then either

Yeah and some times it smelled like amonia. I remember people going around saying weed was getting sprayed with Windex

When I was about 15/16,The bud back then was about 5/7 gram seed, and the other stalk with the odd bit of pressed bud ,Some was nice.But not what I Enjoyed .I liked Hash ,not the soap Bar.The shit had all sorts in it.Plastic in it sometimes the smell of Diesel.I did like A Hash I ain't seen in years.Most Likely Morrocan,looking back on it now ,the way it looked ,like it was made,looked a lot like pressed Sift !The other I loved ,I liked the smell of it Red/gold seal.I have had it since ,and it seemed more CBD in effect than buzz I remember.The first real smoke I had, was a plant that I think now may have been White Widow,Or Northern Lights.But I remember taking some with me ,and the guy I knew that sold ,bought 9 Oz wet.bet he was gutted when he ended up with around 4 Oz of dried bud,after a few days ,Fucker got me back,sold me a Punto.That seized after a few month.Top car too, done in United colours colours of Bennetton.Take it away,what did you first smoke

Huh. Fall of 1974, 13 years old and had a dime bag of leaves and stems. Never got high off it, someone stole my bag of garbage weed the next day, didn't smoke again until 1980.

disappointed me the ,black hash .Because it looked the same ,had the same smell,left holes in my top like the old stuff.how ya could tell the smokers we all had burns holes from hash,it just seemed more CBD feeling wise KG .Used to get smashed of it.Its flying round still now,not sure on price

I only saw/smoked old school Mexican brick weed until I was 19 and doing my own thing.

Sometimes the herbs would still smell like gas from the border crossing though not from the terps lol.


Swear to god I once saw a big bail get broken up and there was a squished lizard of some sort inside. We just laughed and rolled up a spliff.

The old days 80’s-90’s

I once found a flat iguana in a kilo of Mexican brick. We were weighing it out and as I was breaking it up I was like wtf? Yep a dead pressed iguana. Looked like a mummy, it was black. Nasty ass shit we used to smoke. Thank God for good genetics and weed science.

Mexican brick weed.seeds plentiful,black as coal and the 'buds' were flat.this was early 90's,hash was blond which was really nice.also would get 'seahash'.anyone from the New England area might remember that.a ship dumped barrels of hash over before being boarded by the Coasties.Scallop draggers found the coordinates and were bringing that shit up in their gear for YEARS. My friend's dad dragged and they dried that shit in the engine room(diesel, mind you) shit was harder than a rock,burned forever and smoked like a mofo.did the trick lol.
It's funny,I started off smoking Mexican sativa(I believe) so I base a lot of how high I am to how paranoid I get lolz.
I didnt smoke real quality bud(crypt weed) until I moved to south fla in the mid 90's.first seedless/50 eighths I ever saw.
