I THINK that strawberry AK is a locally developed strain, and as far as i know there is only one person growing it. Only place I've found to get it is flavored essentials, and they tell me that the person growing it is sitting on the strain and won't sell clones or seeds to anyone. Other then that it's hard to say, because there are a lot of growers out there that will call a strain whatever they feel like calling it. You go into most dispensaries and you'll find at least 3-4 strains for sale you've never heard of, but most of them aren't really new strains, just an old one with a new name tacked on.

^^^Yea I agree down in pueblo I know one that makes up names as they come in basically. PURE in denver has always had top quality strains.

that strawberry ak sounds pretty good. never tried it but i have tried the cherry ak. it was alright. nothing special as far as taste goes. i dont take it as a legitimate hybrid unless they know genetics. most dont. yeah it sucks that shops operate that way but what can we do? i dont go to the shops anymore. i have been discouraged by every single one of them. either they are out of meds, they charge more than black market prices for LEGAL patients, or they cant tell you what variety it is or what illness it would treat. one shop locks their doors to smoke every couple of hours while patients have to wait on the sidewalk. i lost my faith in humanity years ago but this takes the cake. a fuckin soccer mom with absolutely no knowledge or experience can open and own a pot shop. unreal. im creating a bubblezilla strain that as far as i know is my own creation and therefore a colorado original. will post pics as everything develops.

I purchased some Cherry Lime from the 9240 growers up in Nederland - I have no idea what the genetics are but it was delicious!!

Bio-diesel from Denver Relief on Broadway and 1st is a great strain that won 1st place in the caregiver's cup a year ago. It was developed in house by the owners. Hong Kong was this year's caregiver's cup winner, this strain was developed in house by the owners of Native's Choice of Colorado on Larimer and Broadway. You may note that they have very similar genetics but different traits in each strain. Now don't quote me, but I believe they both have ChemDog and Skunk and either NYC Diesel or Sour Diesel but each in a different combination.

The real Hong Kong has been around for longer than the LA Confidential, I remember getting it my freshman year of high school and I'm 22 now so do the math. The Hong Kong I have come across has, almost without a doubt, Hawaiian genetics. I got a buddy up in Fort Collins that has it and he told me it was a landrace (cant remember which but it also started with a H and a K and the Hong Kong thing was just a phone code that stuck. And this years winner for the caregivers cup was Bruce Banner an outstanding OG Kush cross from Delta 9 on Broadway.

Cherry Limes are an underground Colorado Srings strain.
When I got my mum it was clone only and you had to know a lot of someones to get a clone.
I have two phenotypes growing now and the strong one smells like Cherry 7up.
With a Limey aftertaste on exhale and is good for someone that needs to be pain free from muscle aches and pains but still has the wherewithall to maintain during the day.
As soon as I get my camara cable in the mail I'll post a couple pics.

Is this the same as Cherry Lime Ricky? I've grown the CLR and it was real nice meds. There was a guy up that way that was growing the hell out of it. He actually ask me if I wanted it again when I lost her.

Have any of you guys heard of the CO strain "Tangerine"? I listen to a CO based podcast show called the John Doe Radio Show and one of the hosts bred it themselves and has become extremely illusive and popular. There is much drama apparently people were stealing the genetics and renaming them which really pisses off Derek (the original breeder).

I've seen the tangerine and nectarine around...both are awesome, sweet smelling fluffy buds! (they look and smell a lot alike) only haven't seen em around CO for a year or so.

My vote goes to RMCC's Goddess, awesome plant, smell, taste, high all incredible. Totally Colorado strain with genetics from trainwreck and purple head knocker

JESUS I lost this strain and I desperately want it again. No, I need it again, I think about this strain every day and cry myself to sleep.

So if anyone knows by some weird quirk of fate the grower of this strain please get in contact with me ASAP>>

It is the Tangerine Haze! Also the Cherry Slider from Grateful Meds in Nederland! Bet it is going to win at the Medical Cannabis Cups in Denver on the 2nd of April! If you get a chance head up here and visit them and get a taste before it hits the table! Mark Rose is a legend for a few strains!
