Fuck Maggie's farm. The old guy that bud tends was cool but the owner bill is a narcissistic ass. The grass is all out door and is NOT cured. Just left hanging on giant racks until its trimmed jarred and sold. Which at this point would make it a year old. Not cured like we do... Taking the time to jar, burp, and keep from heat and light, their shit hangs out in a barn. Where horses stable. Gross. Do yourself a favor and check out THE TREE HOUSE. Real time, effort, care and research goes into what makes it to the shelf there.

That's what I figured about Maggie's. Must be guys like this that made Sub decide to pull out of CO, other than all our seed-to-sale nonsense.
If you don't bother curing properly, you might as well give it up. What a waste of time and resources.

I picked up some 303 seeds at Green Grass in Central City and can verify that the seeds are the real deal, got some Meltdown for high CBD and Cloud 9 for, well just because. The seeds all germinated and the plants are growing well. Love the dispensary and they had a good stock of seeds.

Gotta give Subcool credit for all the high quality writing he has done in the forums with excellent advice and his personal strain development stories. I am not seeing the negatives, looks like he is a passionate cannabis advocate and has been very active in helping to move the state of the art forward. Some people are bound to complain about him, it is inevitable whenever someone ACTUALLY DOES SOMETHING, there will be people who complain and find fault. I tip my hat to his ambition and spirit, and I will buy some TGA seeds and get the facts first hand. Right after I finish this cheesecake from Twirling Hippy.

I live in the mountains roughly 4hrs from denver and have been a nerd for years. ran his Qrazy Train before and LOVED it. got a pack of AoS Im waiting to sprout, finishing my Cindy99 and Lemon Kush before I pop them. also got some Dr Who preordered from the Depot. where i live it seems no one really know about Sub or TGA, and even though there is some Jillybean floating around the valley the people who grow it arent nerds! makes me wonder where they even got the strain and if maybe its not really Jilly. anyway just wanted to say "whats up" to my fellow weed nerd! have a dank day!

Hey you Colorado weed nerds I got a question for you. A buddy of mine came back from a trip out there and told me how magical all the weed was. He also told me that a majority of the good growers out there don't even smoke the gorgeous buds they grow and just turn them in an oil concentrate instead. He told me about this one guy that got a copper pipe that had both ends capped and had a hole drilled in the top of each cap and was threaded so you could open it up, fill it with weed then close it. He then said that he took butane fuel canisters and place the nozzle in one of the holes and fill the copper pipe with butane. This essentially strips away the thc and it drips out the other end of a pipe and collected into a pyrex glass. They then put that glass in hot water until all the butane evaporates and you are left with pure THC oil.

Does this sound like anything familiar to you guys?

Thats how you make bho. (butane honey oil) personally I don't touch hash made with solvents. No matter how much you purge the "oil" you will never get all the solvent (butane, ISO alcohol) out of it. Which means you are tanting the thc with chemicals. I'm a firm believer in water hash only. As far as most of the growers out here doing that I'm sure it's a fair amount doing that but the best hash is made from pop corn buds and trim.

Just don't go trying in your house n blow yourself up. Lighting a bowl w a bic is just as bad as well purged wax. Never stopped you before did it. I still smoke a lot of buds and only a little oil, preference really.
Most of the oil however is made in a glass tube, we try to stay away from metals.

Come on chef is water a chemical? You of all people should know that. I try to use a magnifying glass unless no sun. Fuck a hemp wick.

And I think there's more butane in bho then the flame from a bic

HUH? i was just wondering if all the butane actually evaporates and leaves you with just extracted oil. Water never comes in contact with the oil, it is just used to heat the oil kinda like how they melt chocolate for cooking.

Also what is bho?

And this is the issue, you really have no idea, yet you spread information about how bad BHO is for you. I will argue up and down that properly made oils, regardless of the type, will contain so little of the solvent that if you weren't told the extraction process, you could never even guess. I have had ISO a buddy made that i had no idea how it was made until i asked him, and i never would have guessed ISO.

BHO= Butane Hash Oil
You have to know what you are ding to purge all of the butane from the product, many use vacuum pumps to make sure to suck out all that they can.
Oils are typically smoked off of a nail, so you don't use a lighter on the oil. So the argument that many of us have is that properly purged BHO can actually have less butane than the lighter flame that you are lighting the bowl with.

It's an issue I've already agreed to disagree on with so many people. I don't spend all this time and energy to grow organic just to fuck it up with butane or ISO. Just my opinion not a hater on wax smokes just my preference is all.

So basically its a way of making the most potent form of THC concentrate and if done correctly its worth it to some, while others still enjoy the high they get from smoking just the buds
