Yea, sometimes I wonder if the people who post the troll crap and then keep it going are cops trying to poison the online community and damage our ability to communicate effectively and increase the skills and abilities of growers.

Funny thing happend to me last weekend. I was in a gas station talking to a friend about the online nerd community when I get approached by a guy who says he loves the weed nerd and asks how I knew about them (i could tell he was trying to act like I didn't know shit) I told him I'm Thepanintedchef. Dudes reaction was priceless. Eyes got all big and he right away started inviting me to see his grow offering me trim to show him how to make bubble. Wish I had the time to help him out but I was only in Denver for a night. Maybe next time dude. Nerd life is crazy.

Cool, I wear my TGA shirts all the time but no one ever approaches me. I kinda like that only a few people even know what TGA is. I have heard some comments in passing at concerts and at the Cannabis Cup but that's it. If we ever have a Colorado Weed Nerd event I would try my best to show up but who is going to stick their neck out to organize something like that? I do not know of any people that are serious about growing other than the folks on this board. Even people that I know casually (I would not consider them my friends) who use a lot of Cannabis, I tell them all you have to do is water the plant and they look off in the distance and say "Oh, I don't know if I could do something like that." And I think to myself, well you probably would fuck that up, so you better let better organized people do that for you. I say we get a Weed Nerd Happy Hour going sometime? No pressure!

I've been wanting go do something for a while now but planning it is another story. Most people that grow around here I don't trust so I usally only smoke what I grow or from trusted growers.

Hoping to do a holloween octoberfest get together in October close to Denver. On a Saturday so you don't have to give up sunday football. Won't be in this thread but it will be in this section. Thinking after 1pm until whenever. Most of it will be outdoors so the weather will have to still be somewhat warm. Hope to get people to dress up if they want to wear a costume. The last one I attended was really chill.

Oh, and quick update, our grow room is approx half done. Eager to get something going I've got two sweet tooth clones going hydro and my boyfriend has four that just went into aggressive veg. I am not 100% sure, but I think he has some durban, northern light, and I think the last two are purple ice and bubblegum. He likes to give me shit cuz I've gone full nerd on him reading growing bibles, botany books, and of course forums like these and he's just going off of what his friend says to do. Its not that I don't trust his friend, but I actually like the opportunity to learn something new and I want as much background as I can get.

Hey Levs, welcome to the madness and excitement of growing. Nice to see another lady here. My boyfriend and I grow together and we have kind of divided all the duties that come with growing. At first he did everything and I assisted were I could as I was still recovering from my second neck fusion. I helped mix nutes, empty drip trays and cleaned a lot. Now things have flip flopped somewhat. He is really in charge of the technical pieces of the grow, the design and implementation of our flower room. He ran the electric, etc. I started to take over the veg and clones, nuting up potting up and still cleaning. I am currently in charge of the nuting program for our grow from veg through flower. He has take over the outdoor girls, super cropping or LST and the bug prevention program as well. It has seemed to work well for us as his real world job doesn't allow for a lot of time to spend with the girls. With me being home full time I am responsible for a lot of the day to day operations, with him still over seeing it all as I am still learning,
Just curious how you guys have divided up everything. I assume you guys are hydro?

Oh and I am in full geek mode now. I am mostly responsible for breaking down the end product to butter, oils and tinctures. He does all the kief and hash making. Man I am loving my new passion and job!

Hey everyone,
I've been a weed nerd from the first moment I saw, felt, became a vessel for the life force that is cannabis. So for about 15yrs I've been waist deep in all things weed related. Come to find out "Weed Nerd" has a somewhat different connotation what with TGA and all well I'm one of those TOO!

Though at this moment all I have is Dairy Queen and my DQ mother is finishing up outside in a 20gal brute as I type this. Either way I'm out of North Boulder County and here for all things weed related!
