How Do I ascend from "Stranger" Status BTW? lo l:peace:
I have less posts than you but it seems to me once you hit 50 posts you will "be able to roll a joint" and then if you hit 100 I think you are a "marijuana toker". I can't wait till I have 100 posts and can finally smoke marijuana...:joint:

Why does it take SOOOOO long to acquire your red card here in Colorado? I Sent in my Application on Sept 10th 2009 and it is now December 29th...still nothing. I eagerly check the mail every day hoping for a letter from Cherry Creek, I feel vunerable and unofficial without my Red Card...know what I'm saying? I actually had my application packet returned to me TWICE due to a couple minor discrepancies. On a similar note, my good buddy changed his caregiver so often that he got rejected (I warned him). I have changed my care one time, does this hold up the process? This place is a trip man, can't help butt scoff at most of these yahoo's opening dispensaries on a weekly basis, WESTWORD is gaining more and more pages of dispensary ads every week as welll, I'm sure you noticed. One thing I find odd is that most folks are claiming chronic pain as there excuse for a med-card, and for realz, I have truly never noticed any analgesic benefit from Cannabis in my 22 years of using herb *EXCEPTION* ( it is definitely EXCELLENT headache medicine ). All the while they don't prescribe it for some of the real ailments that it can truly manage, such as anxiety and insomnia...whats up with that? Now theres issues with dirtbag criminals targeting dispensaries for robbery....which does not surprise me at all, but it's fostering the general public s fears and discriminatory attitude towards the Colorado Medi-Herb Scene. It will be interesting to see what happens in the coming months, thats all I know for sure. One more thing, I will most definately be on probation next month or so, I drank and drove on Labor Day..(Stupid Fool) and got busted....You think I'm gonna have issues with my soon to be probation officer? I use THC to manage the discomfort I suffer from elevated eye pressure due to traumatic Glaucoma. Not to mention Ganja is my version of Xanax or Valuim or what you will....Thats one reason why I'm tripping on not having my Red card yet! Anyone know somebody on probation with a med card? Anyway, thats my 2 cents people...Lakewood Colorado in the house.

Hey Fish

Probation in jeff co sucks but I can help you out a bit, there is a dui treatment program in lakewod on Carr few blocks north of colfax that is real good, price is not out of control and they only charge $5 for BA's (my girlfriend went there last year)

advise you get in a program prior to courtdate, my girlfriend did and was sentenced to the minimum (1st offense) she is done now with everything total cost was a little over 10 grand including everything, the damn blow and go is the biggest bitch

Good Luck

To get pm privledges and not be a stranger you have to up your post count, what I do is answer questions and try to help others out

Looks like I need to up my post count some then, huh??

I'm super excited to see so many CO growers active in this forum. I'm way more excited about growing now that I have some local peeps to talk shop with. I have no clue where to even start on my new journey, but I'm not as worried about it as I was before.

In mine I just put a bowl of water (from the hot tap) in front of the fan
humidity stayed at 50 to 60% in my veg box

Though this state is dry normal humidity in the air is around 30 - 35% I actually like growing w/out the humidity as the plants usually tell me when it is time for water/nutes.

true i like the not a lot of humidity with not worrying about bud mold and all that other shit ive seen ruin people crops...but i still think there could be a difference in growth...maybe another opp. to conduct an experiment on high humidity growth and low humidity growth( two clones from the same mother different conditions to see if high or lower humidity can be a determining factor in plant vigor.

I bought a book that said the optimum humidity is 80% for veg & 40% for flower. But good luck on getting it up to 80%. lol

I'm on my first grow and 1 humidifier keeps it between 30% & 40% even with a hard working exhaust. And I haven't had any trouble during veg. I might have gotten a little more growth with a higher humidity I imagine, but I don't think they'd be 8ft tall or anything with the higher humidity.

Higher humidity does help keep the mites at bay though.

Hey everyone. I stopped posting pics after the flushes because I didn't want to monopolize this thread, but I'm really proud of this little girl.

She's the runt of the group but she's been catching up fast. It also says a lot about treating the roots.

The first pic is her on 12-5. She was only 5" at 3 weeks. She's 6 1/2 weeks today and 13". A big difference I'm sure you'd agree.

There are roots at 4 of the 5 drainage holes and in the "roots 3" pic, the root at the bottom that's hard to see circles back into the soil. I hope that doesn't mean that she has that circle thing going on yet. I'll be buying bigger pots today. So far she has the biggest root system judging by what's at the holes.

Lady bugs will keep your girls safe. You should look into them. They helped me kick but on 3 simultaneos infestations. Spider Mites, White Flies, and Fungus Gnats.

They should prevent any infestation as long as you keep them on the plants.

High humidity is WAY overrated. I used to use humidifiers to keep my RH over 50 just like all the books say is "optimal". Don't waste your time. Low RH just means the plant will have to take up more water from the roots to be healthy. That's it. No big nasty bad health effects. JUst water when needed and stop worrying about it.

On the + side, low RH forces buds to frost over as the plant produces resin to protect itself against the dry air.

Think outside the growbook. :bongsmilie:

i agree dooleef i dont worry about humidity either and my last grow was so crystally the bud tasted more like hash than anything high humidity is good for strains that come from south america and areas around the equator long light seasons and high humidity = 20 ft sativas that some jungle cultures worship as gods i wish i could worship with them lol
