Guys I need help. I was busted and all of my equipment is gone..
As I'm to poor to buy street weed, and I dont wanna buy/sell it to have my free/personal stash, I decided to get back to growing.
I had 2 cob bars with 200w each, and I had qb boards like light too..

Now I cant decide should I go with single cobs led ( I dont have money so I would start with only 2 lights (its 3590 cree at 55w ), or should I go with attis 300 from gavita.
I even found same light but different brand,,

or

my grow space will be 100x100cm tent (that is 1m2, or for you us folks 3,3x3,3 tent)

If I go with single cobs I would eventually upgrade to 4 or max 5 cobs..

Check out led-tech.de ; muchbetter deals than what you quoted. You can get 2 qbs worth of diodes, lm301h, on a PCB for under 100e.
Thank you for helping , but I dont wanna go DIY this time, and dont want classic qb boards also. I WILL GO WITH 3590 COBS

It's like the worst option but go ahead. 400e for 208w of 2016 lights. TGL have been trying to get rid of those for years. The specs are over rated on their web, it's actually lower. Also that kinda is a DIY light: it's just assembled for you. It's basically a cob, a holder and a driver/heatsink module.

I doubt it. Wtf would they still sell them, if they trying to get rid of them from 2016? In all of that they threw some new options. And by what standards thatv
Is the worst light? Hey if 220w of led can give me 300g of weed I'm just fine.. I had 3070/1212 leds, and they grew weed. Its possible that i will have to move my growing spots often, so these are most comfortable for moving around. Small and sturdy.
AND yes I dont believe they are lying.. https://chilledgrowlights.com/independent-lab-reports/lab-test-report-cree-xlamp-cxb3590-3500k-cd-bin

It's funny that you brought up that chilled link, this is the tests I'm basing my statement on:wall:: Cree cxb was really popular back in the day due to datasheet humpers here on the forum extrapolating huge efficiency for Cree, I believe it was 63% (or even 69%??? Can't remember) on 700mA. In real life tests this was not confirmed as you can see from the link, they are around 50% even less at +50w. That is about equivalent of 155lum/w. Very beatable by bridgelux (both cobs and EB strips) Luminous cobs and Samsung midpowers which are up to about 200lum/w at the 3500k spectrum This does not equate 2.5 PPF per watt, it's 2.3 as per the test you quoted.

More testing can be found in Cobkits thread here on the forum confirming Cree cxb under performs the datasheet which was the basis of its popularity. By all means use cobs, no problem, but use better cobs. You don't have to pay more for less unless you want to. The 1212s you had are great value for the money and have the same diode count as Cree cxb.
If you want to use Cree cxb just because then do whatever you want but if youre asking for advice I'll give it to you.

TGL has been selling these Cree cobs for ages, all while they get updated gear; both their own brand and HLG. Fair enough it's my own assumption that they are trying to get rid of them, it's fairly possible that they have some sales due to the Cree legacy, but that doesn't mean they are the good lights, only that people still believe they are.

If you wanted the equivalent (or actually even better) solution from those boards I suggested you could literally do it for half the price. 89 for the boards, 40 for sinking, 60 for driver and another 10 for cabling. More performance, better spread and still compact. Also its the easiest DIY you'll ever make. But it's your money your choice man, but don't get upset if you get good advice when you ask for advice.

I dont understand now. Are you still suggesting qb boards or you are suggesting duferent cob leds? I m not mad or anything. Second thing is they are al at least 100w and cover 2x2,so for my tent i would need 4. Or two bigger ones. I just wanted to say that single cobs are more suitable for my situation. And let me tell you, I m sucker for professional made led lights. But I m starting from. Zero with possibility that Im still on pigs radar.

I'm saying the deal youre getting from tgl isn't any good. The idea, 4 separate points of light is good. Compact. Go with it. But you can do it better and more economical for you, either with different cobs or with boards from led-tech. I'm a sucker for DIY though so maybe factor it in. But the build is so damn easy anyone can do it. It's up to you, your money

And I feel you on the whole Popo situation, it's a bad place to be. I hope your clear.
What I was suggesting re boards would be running them approx 60w a piece, and 4 of them, same as the cobs.

We have gone over this before...
You listened to people typing and not the data sheets and PCT from the manufacturer...
The data sheet has always shown accurate figures and is backed by that lab test from Chilled. It literally matches up perfectly to the data sheet and PCT.

Stop perpetuating falsities. Specially on old tech that there is no reason to lie about.

Again...that sphere test matches up perfectly to the data sheet and cree's PCT.

I dont want to sell weed and if I wanted to, I dont have nobody to sell.So i must buy. Its too expensive for me to be buying weed.. So fck them! let theym jail me every 6 months. .

I know that you wanna best for me.
but other option would be that maxi light or samsung strips sort of led..

@HippieDudeRon Spo what the truth in the end?
are those reading right?

There are 2 tests. One is 2.3 another is 2.69. What's there to get here? Just go and check and compare. You're already on my ignore for well whatever is your issue.

Why do you lie all over this place? You have two lies right here...
1) I'm on ignore...couldn't see my post if I was...so thats a lie.
2) and that there are two CXB test here...

The only sphere test here or presented...matches up perfectly to the data sheets...todays and in 2015. Hasn't changed.
Again...you listen to keyboard junkies...instead of the datasheet and manufacture resources. Shame on you...nobody else but yourself.

1: You were mentioned in a reply to my comment. And then I saw the troll warning button "show ignored content". I pressed and guess what? Here he is! HDR, self appointed thorn in my side season 2021. How are you doing Ron? Hope all's well. I see you're all geared up for more fun. Why would I lie about not wanting to see your shit on a daily basis? But since you're all up in my shit here we go. And I gotta hand it to you, clever trick: no matter what I say or show re you on ignore you can always say I changed it after your claim. But most people here knows how ignore works, this screams of desperate butthurtfullness. You really think your "catching me in a lie" and divulging to the forum? Please...

2: I have never claimed this to be 2 cxb tests!?! Do you even read the thread? Or do you assume that everyone is talking about your shit as soon as you open your mouth?
Let's parafrase this thread: cika: buying a new light, these are my considerations. Need advice. Advice ensues: bxeb, Ali boards. Cika: needs to be from Europe.
I: led-tech.de , boards are on the front page.
Cika: no DIY, going with cobs.
Me: shitty option, price, performance in comparison to led tech.
Cika: chilled sphere test.
I: why chilled test shows it's a shitty option. Under performs the spec quoted at sellers webpage. And data sheet (yeah, but let's get back to that later:D)
I give run down on costs of boards, half price of cxb for about the same wattage for better efficiency.
You: RS is a lier. I've shown this before.
Me: "There are 2 tests. One is 2.3 another is 2.69. What's there to get here? Just go and check and compare. You're already on my ignore for well whatever is your issue." This is a copy paste. Where do I say there's 2 cxb tests? I'm clearly speaking about why I rec the boards over the cxb. Where is the lie? Do you read the thread? Like for context? It's either really sloppy, bad reading comprehension or intentionally trying to twist this into some kinda win for HDR as usual. Why are you up in my ass all the time? What's the deal?

It seems you wanna go back to the argument you "won" some time ago. I left that shit cause:
1: it was clear you were not having a good faith discussion and generally trolly
2: you made claims regarding the Cree pct which doesn't work on the phone I use for the forum. So I had no way of checking that, and little desire to check datasheets or dig out those old calculations from 5 year old threads. I just left it at that.

But guess what: I have the pct right here:D
And you know what else: I also realize that my stupid ass, I never called you on showing some numbers for your claim. And since you are what is know by some as a "quote whore" why don't we get to see your numbers then? Let's see some screen shots from the pct showing 156lum/w at 1400mA.
And, let's see you make an argument for whatever assumptions you made regarding the pct input data (yes, in order to make any claims re pct numbers you'll need to make assumptions of input since those tests do not spell out everything you need).

this is the Cree pct if you need a link:

Remember its 3500k 80cri cxb.

@CikaBika Sorry about your thread turning into a shit show. Ron seems to have it in for me, I can't remember exactly why but iirc I think once he quoted an article about something uv related or maybe high intensity response, and I pointed out that the article actually said the opposite what he thought. I'm not exactly sure , but since then he seems to have something up his ass re me.
I really don't care what you do with your money, that's your absolute choice and you should do whatever you feel like. But I've seen you posting some years back and I don't want you to spend more money on something with less demonstrable value.

Edit: changed lum/w: had 155, it's actually 156. Right should be right. Let's go Ron, let see some action quoting here!

I THINK i will eventually go with. Heapest starting option.. 2 tgl 60.
Coz I don't have permanent growing place.
Why throw money around
