Club Waterfarm

I wanted to create a post where everyone that uses and has customized a GH Waterfarm, can share and show what they can do! I have started a seedling in a Waterfarm and am already having a few issues and am hoping that by creating a small community of us Waterfarmers I can learn and Grow with success. So anyone with PICS the of the customizing and/or pics of the results, please join in! Even if you just have tips or knowledge, I could def use it.

I wanted to start it off in hopes that the person who has had the same issues can help me out before its too late. She is about 4 days old and i can already tell that im gonna has res temp issues. At the moment the room is about 83.5F with the res at about 80.1F. This is def gonna be too hot. I put insulation around the base and added another pump and air stone to the res. Im hoping this will help the situation. Also does anyone know any good additives that I could use to offset the high temps? (Hygrozyme, or Subculture B and M?) I have heard of using something called an Ice Probe but i know little about them. Hopfully i Can find something soo because in about a week when she leaves seedling stage i have a feeling that those temps are way to high and im gonna get rot. Another thing that i did to customize the waterfarm was that i made the top feed ring alittle smaller so that it would be more likely to get enough water to the rockwool while she is still a seedling. I figured the only way to start the seedling in the waterfarm is to feed it myself for the firsts couple weeks because of the fact that the root structure is basicly non-exsistent. If anyone has a journal where i could watch the process from seed to finish that would help me out alot! Thanks again to everyone and good luck!

Hey hydrochron, what r u running for lights? Keeping a fan under your lights will help u in the room. Tell me a little about your setup. I grow dwc with 3 8 bulb t-5 ho Flores. 1250 watts from 3 lights never have a heat issue in the tanks/buckets. Temp u can use frozen ice packs but check to make sure the RES doesnt drop dramaticly. Post up some info on your setup so I can c if I can give u some pointers. Happy Growing!!
