Closet Grow - Stealth Venting Question

Hey everyone! Love RIU. Been reading awhile but this is my first post.

I am going to be moving to an apartment soon and was planning a stealth grow in a bedroom closet. I have two concerns with my design. Since it is a closed closet I am going to drill a hole in the door and cover it with a picture that has space behind to allow proper air intake. For the exhaust I will go smelly hot air->carbon filter->fan->hose. The hose will be run though the closet wall so it blows the cleaned air into the open room. This exhaust will also be covered with a picture that conceals the hole but allows airflow. The closet also has attic access. I will seal this up good with plastic to make it air tight.

Back to my concerns. Should I line the whole room with plastic so no smells can possibly permeate through to the neighbors or is that over kill? Also would a 1/4in gap (between the frame and wall) on a 18"x24"x1.5" frame be sufficient to let enough air in the negative intake and let enough air out without back draft (using aprox. 440cfm fan) for the exhaust?

Sorry no pics, this is still all in my head, hope it makes sense and I appreciate any input you guys may have.
