cloning?

I read something somewhere and i just wanted to confirm it... My plants are in the flower stage right now, pretty early. about a week. I can still cut clones from them but i need to give them 24/0 light and remove the flower part? any help would be great.`

i cut mine in flower also buti run 18/6 cloneing and vegging. root growth in the dark, i myself leave the bud matter on. the last pic is of two that were cut off the same plant at the sametime. 6 weeks into floweri cut them.

i cut b4 flower cycle all veg 4 me is on a 21/3 light cycle so will tha clones, peace

I also use 18/6 for cloning, and leave the buds on the cutting. I tried it both with and without the buds left on, and didn't see any difference, so I just started leaving them on.
