if i have a few two week old clones and put them in the cabinet to hide for no more than three days, how much time wasted is it going to be to get them back on vegging mode, is it better to get light to them a few hours a day or just leave them alone in the dark. maybe put a flashlight or something and leave it on? any suggestions? thank you and toke well:blsmoke:

Get them some form of light, they need the energy of photosynthesis. Even if only for a few hours a day. When you are clear to begin growing they will take off on a healthy light cycle.

will this reinforce inducing flowering more so or less than solid three days of darkness than bak to 20/4hr schedule

are they rooted clones ? if not u will probly kill them with 3 days of dark ... i would make sure u get atleast 5 hours of light on them a day if u want them to survive

theyre definately rooted and at 6inches, i just want to keep veggin after i lock them up. How much time do you guys think it will take to revert back to vegg? Seems the consensus is always try and get light to them, i guess ima leave a flashlight on? I dont want to hermie them either thats i keep thinking just leave them in the dark, i read somewhere they survive much longer without light than with light (all things being equal)? I have and can buy some more portable flashing leds, wonder if i throw those in if it will keep them from inducing into flowering? Its for three days of solid darkness. Thanks for the help RIU

if you had to lock up/hide your vegging plants for 3 days how would you guys go about this to minimalize stress and inducing flowering?

I'd buy one small CFL and leave it in there on 18/6, and seal it up so there aren't any light leaks. I don't know if that's an option, so it's just a suggestion. :)

3 days without light might induce flowering, and maynot some strains are weird. 3 days might kill your plants and might not. It takes approx. a month for your plants to go from starting to bud to veg. again from the time you switch back to veg. hours. If it's an option get 3 more clones and start over vegging them,no odd hours so you know there is no problems.

The time you put into this, isn't worth the effort with the outcome your going to have, you'd be better off starting fresh with seeds. You have to learn sometime though. I'm just trying to save you some stress, but if your learning more power to you.

thats funny, lol, it'll be fine. a little stress isnt going to kill them or make them start flowering, you need prolonged elevated flowering hormones and sexual maturity to induce flowering that fast,

ive done this now a few times, last run turned out great, im always learning and tinkering. Unfortunately i have to hide them for two days this run, so im just trying to get advice on the best way to go about it, some say scrap it and restart itll throw them off too much, others say itll be fine just a lil stressed possibly a month to get bak on track??? thats a long time :(, regardless theyre going in the cabinet to hide away. Should i get a battery led light, i kno this wont be anything to grow off but maybe prevent flowering because it will not be dark, or should they just get couple days of sleep?

everyone on RIU they have battery operated 6inch T5 fluro, pretty sweet and exactly what i was looking for, thank you walmart for having everything
