So u just cloned my friends purple diesiel..i got the clone from a lower branch but it has a bud the size of a quarter..can the plant still grow??also I put it in a green house outside will it grow or do I need to put it inside?

Needs to be in a dome....... Since you took the clone from a plant in the flowering stage it will take it longer to take root.

You need to bring it back to veg. 24/0 light for a week then 18/6 for a week or 2. Then you will need to harden it to the sun. Start with 1 hour outside in the morning. And each day add 1 hour. Once it is out past the hottest part of the day it is safe to leave it out.

Like warlock and MBP said its possible but its tough and it could take your clone a whole month to start to get roots because of the hormones in the stem it doesnt have those veg hormones like clones when you take them regularly. As it is in flower its not thinking about roots you must now make the plant think it fucked up and better get to work on something other than flowers like survival so do what warlock said give it alot of light and read up on the cloning process so next time you wont get a flowering clone. Its almost more worthwhile at this point to start a new plant from seed as long as its going to take your plant to root.

Clones taken in flower root faster, but take longer to reveg and start growing and when it does start up growing again the growth will look crazy, but once it evens out you will have a very branchy plant...which is why I like to clone from flower sometimes..flowered clones are great for scrog or any sort of training where you would want a lot of branches...

There are actually more hormones present in the plant during flowering then vegging...flowering clones root easy and grow slow...
