I got a Cherry AK-47 clone from a club and was looking for info on this strain but could not find any on this site.

Any information on this strain will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! bongsmilie:peace:

I'm just finishing a cherry AK 47. It normally finishes in 65 days. Mine finished a week early though, and I think that's because I ran co2 at a constant 1500 ppm.

Here's what I know about the strain...

- Cuttings root in 5 - 7 days
- Hardy: resistant to heat, and other stresses.
- Buds mature in 60-65 days.
- Buds and surrounding leaf are covered in tric's
- Aroma: Pungent, cherry candy
- Flavor: Starts out cherry, then pine-y after 3rd hit. Smooth smoke.
- High: All I've tried so far is some finger hash from it. That gave me an up high, with almost no couch-lock.
...haven't tried any of the bud yet. That's about 2 weeks away.

Hello,

I currently have 4 Cherry Lime AKs that I am going to harvest today. Well, technically three because I got a bit anxious, but anyways.... To answer your question(s), here is what I have observed in my first harvest of this strain:

Today marks the 1st day of week 9. They have been flushing since week the 2nd day of week 7, with CO2 levels at approximately 1500ppm. 90% of the pistols on the plant remain white. The trichomes are probably 70% milky, 25% transparent, and 5% amber. This strain seems to be tolerant of heat, and resistant to powdery mildew. Per my system, each plant is looking to produce 6 - 8oz of large, dense nuggs. Resin production is amazing.

PICS: (These pics were taken a few days ago before I chopped the early plant. The 3 most mature plants that are yellowing out against the left wall are the AKs. I'll try to take better pics today)

daamn does it really taste n smell like cherry?!

gotaa get my paws on some of tht ha

While I have only experienced one Cherry phenotype AK47 I have read a number of times that there are actually two different Cherry phenotype AK47’s. Both share a Cherry flavor but one pretty much shares the potency of regular AK47 and the other is not as potent. Both are rare and the odds of someone getting both Cherry phenotypes are almost zero so any time someone gets a Cherry AK47 in their minds they got ‘thee one and only’ Cherry AK47 phenotype.

The best chance to find a Cherry AK47, other than if you know someone you can get a clone from, is to purchase Joey Weed’s F2 AK47 seeds. Joey Weed’s AK47 came from a pack of Serious Seeds he purchased while in Holland some years back. They are the Real McCoy when it comes to genetics, they are just F2’s and that means less stable and that means an increased chance of finding different phenotypes.

That is how/where I found my Cherry AK47.

Cherry AK is one of the genetics that I always keep around. But I have a bad habit of being a strain whore. Had up to 44 at one time. I'm still trying to narrow my list down to less than 10, lol...
