Those hand crank trimmers are junk and beat the hell out of your crystals.

If you have a really huge grow then use something like the fan setup. Otherwise you should just get electric scissors to help speed it up and just put the extra hours in.

I have a spin pro, what is this "fan setup" you speak of? I'd be interested in something not so harsh on the buds.

I have the spinpro and love it. I've only used it on three plants about a month ago but tonight I'll use it on two more plants. What would normally take a few hours is gonna take me 30 minutes max.

I wouldn't take a chance on any of the ebay knockoffs just because I've read way to many negative reviews of them. Rasa Hydroponics has a legit spinpro for $281.25, https://rasahydroponics.com/spinpro-trimmer.

I don't understand how this would work...I mean just random cutting and scraping seems like it would cause more damage than trimming...

Hemlock...I saw just the opposite. I saw tons of trichs in the bowl and on the blades and on the rubber tossers which is why I wouldn't use them. I just take a few days and hand trim and do it right but like I said if its just you and you have 10 or more lbs to do with outside buds then I can see where speed over quality work is preferred.
HMMM well no worries everyone got their own way of doing it. I love the Trim Pro and use it on everything. No one has complained yet. But as you mentioned I have a bit more than a home garden.

Something similar to these

But those are really expensive. I just grabbed that link off google as an example. You can very easily make one of your own. Just shop around for parts. It's essentially a fan in a housing with a grate over the top to keep buds from going into the blades and a net underneath to catch the trim. They don't need to be units the size of air conditioner units. You can get small industrial fans and make a much smaller version.

I have one and am going to use it in a few weeks, I heard you do it as soon as you get the fruit off the tree. Not letting it dry first but to do the trim right away and then dry???? Any experiance here?

Idk is it just me or does anyone else picture Homer standing in the bathroom in front of a fan with a bunch of razors attached when u hear "fan setup" in regards to trimming?
