i have to agree with chewwy

isnt that the beauty of the internet? freedom of speech? isnt that the basis of our personal freedom?

nobody is calling anyone the N-Bomb or using other racial slurs we are just cussing and venting and saying what we want because we can,, and we should always be allowed to.. it always confuses me when a fellow stoner wants to void the rights of others.... and yes i understand that this is your forum but you made it to be a public forum.

Hi Rollie.. I just took this from the sub page.. It says purchasing a sub. ($19.99 1 month)..not donation... I've wanted to subscribe since I got here and still can get a straight answer.. WHAT DOES 6 months cost & 1 year... It says the adm. will determine length...??? So which or what is it......
I've never had so much trouble trying to give someone my money in my life.. I'm not trying to be a smart ass I just want a straight answer...

ok now im all for roll it up and what they do..they provide me with free growing info..and i have stuck up for them..I even made a thread sticking up for them, and guess what, i got an infraction for that? Now i let that go and didnt make a big deal out of it and thought it was justifying because i said the word "fuck" ok yes i can live without saying that.

But now here comes the ridiciouls part one of these mods is going power crazy, im not going to throw any names out, but ive seen atleast 5 members leave this sight becuase of these new rules..he even closed a thread for a guy whos had a "goodby" thread..he was thanking all of us a RIU and how weve helped him, and he even thanked the mods..but one of the mods closed the thread becuase "goodby" threads are not aloud..i mean commoonn thats ridicouls, he was not insulting anyone or anything he was simply saying goodby because he could not take the new rules.

Also one of the moderators said "were digging our own graves" with threads like this one..but its them that are digging there own graves..WE are the ones who are creating the threads and giving people growing advice..eventually these rules are going to get to most of the members and there going to leave..there neeeds to be a change or rollitup will not be the same site..Why make these new rules? you say because people are to rude and thread jacking. Ok would you rather have a couple rude people and some thread jacking, or have all your members happy and enjoy the site?..what im simply trying to say is roll it up has turn very comunist and no ones gona wanna come on here anymore, there needs to be a change

i read this whole thread, this rules jive is ridiculous. it seems like some of the mods are on a power trip.

it's neat that people at RIU make money a priority over it's users.

i remember when shroomery.org went through some growing pains.

thankfully, they didn't censor or crack down on content, they didn't sacrifice users for $$$$. they banned problematic people and made forums with relaxed rules.

all hail the almighty dollar

i love RIU, but there's plenty of other grow forums. i couldn't care less about a future infraction or ban.

the actions of "management" and their silly rules will deter future users and people will visit a different site.

like shooting themselves in the foot, piss off the active users to try to generate revenue??
