i read this whole thread, this rules jive is ridiculous. it seems like some of the mods are on a power trip.
as a few of the mods have stated "this is a growing site", i guess they forgot to mention "this is a money making site".
it's neat that people at RIU make money a priority over it's users.
i remember when shroomery.org went through some growing pains.
thankfully, they didn't censor or crack down on content, they didn't sacrifice users for $$$$. they banned problematic people and made forums with relaxed rules.

i love RIU, but there's plenty of other grow forums. i couldn't care less about a future infraction or ban.
the actions of "management" and their silly rules will deter future users and people will visit a different site.
like shooting themselves in the foot, piss off the active users to try to generate revenue??
