cats and fan leaves....

Anyone else have the problem with their cats chewing on their fan leaves??? My one little cat just cant get enough..... everyday I come home and there is little nibbles off leaves..... she's not eating anywhere near the buds just chewing on the lower fan leaves.....

what can I do to repel her?? I don't want to hurt this cat, I love her dearly..... but she won't get away from my plant!!! (ps my plant is sitting on a shelf like 5ft off the ground.... so I don't even know how she gets up there but she does)

Try covering the shelf with slightly crinkled tin foil. That should scare her off the shelf when she jumps up and hopefully make her not want to try more than a few times before just giving up.

my cat will stop at nothing to eat my plants. one time he ate all my plants down to the stalks but they grew back and still made some killer smoke. so far i have found nothing to prevent my cat from eating my crops other than a locked door.

buy some real catnip from a pet store if you can find it in a live plant form even better. That should be better than your plants for her. Let us know how it works..JR

Also if the catnip dose not work buy some balloons and pop one or 2 near the cat, like real close to her, then hang some near your plant, the cat will go nowhere near them after that..JR

I am having this problem with cats at night did any one have an answer eventually or was it all light hearted banter I really need these cats to leaf my plants alone

I,ve had a look into it and tonight I shall sprinkle whats left of my fan leaves with cayenne chilli powder,that,ll do it

That works great, scares the shit out of them and they quit jumping up there.
