YES! Thanks for your vote of confidence. If you look at my latest update, you will see flowers everywhere and my babies are lookin' real good. I think I'll get close to the one pound mark. Depends on how thick the buds stack on the colas
I am very familiar with playing musical chairs with my babies every single day. Am confident it will help with bud density and production, so thanks for your input

My first grow does nothing but continue to blow me away each and every time I open that magical door to my small grow room
. Really, pictures do no justice to the size and beauty these incredible plants display....and they just keep getting bigger, and fatter, and smellier, and more and more beautiful....
Lexi the Afghan Kush Special is now officially about ten days out, yet her pistles have not turned brown or red yet, and her trichomes are clear to cloudy at best. She is packing on the weight though. She might be a little late, but who cares? Pretty soon I'll be swimming up to my eyeballs in homegrown, organic, medicinal grade, connoisseur quality buds! Hell yeah! An ounce? yes, maybe more, so I am not at all disappointed in this freebie from Attitude.
Now, Betsy the Chemdawg is my most beautiful girl. Her rich, green foliage provides a stunning contrast for the frosty buds. About half of her pistles are a beautiful reddish-brown color and the trichomes are just getting caked on! I thought her cola's would be bigger, but they seemed to have stopped growing somewhat. I expect her to pack it on these last two and a half weeks though. I expect over an ounce of buds from her....another freebie from Attitude.
So there is over two ounces right there, and I haven't even discussed my most prolific producers, White Widow's.
These five White Widow's are producing some of the biggest cola's in my grow room. I lined up all my WW's against the brick wall and snapped a picture, this was actually a couple days ago, but browse my pics and you'll know which one's are the WW's. Very impressive, don't you think?
Each of my WW's have only two to four cola's, but most are MASSIVE! And, they sparkle with trichomes! I expect at least an ounce and a half average from each plant, but two ounces is probably more like it
. They finish at ten weeks, so I am still three or four weeks out. OMG what monster's have I grown!
And then there are the new Dutch Passion Outlaw strain. A sativa strain, these finish at twelve weeks. These Outlaw's were very slow to flower at the outset, and are just now beginning to stack up nicely! They are very tall, taller than me, about six feet tall! I expect the Outlaw's cola's to be every bit as impressive in terms of size, massiveness, and trichome production as the WW's. I don't have as many Outlaw cola's, so I expect about an ounce and a half average from the five that I got. But it should be some very potent stuff when it's all said and done.
As you look at my pictures, you can tell the difference between the Outlaw's and the other strains, as the Outlaw's are taller and lankier than all the rest.
As this is my first grow, I am beginning to appreciate how smelly cannabis plants get. I use the product, Ona, with excellent results, but still have to light Yankee candles upstairs because I can still smell my garden.
Since I am growing all organic, I decided not to flush my plants. I'll stop the organic nutes two weeks out from each strain's projected harvest time and just give water, making sure I harvest when my soil is on the dry side.

But being a newbie, I really don't know how much bud I will end up with. The White Widow's are still three weeks out and some of the cola's are so FAT I don't know how they can possibly get any bigger!!!

And the Outlaw strain, OMG!. For the first few weeks I didn't think these were going to do much. Then about 3-4 weeks ago they all went through a massive growth spurt and starting stretching like crazy. Some cola's are so tall I can't even put them under the light. I have to situate them around the periphery of the reflector and rotate them daily so there is equal light distribution. So they are still "close" to the light, they just aren't "under" it. I am a bit concerned this might result in light, airy buds, but like I say, they are close to the light, just not under it, if that makes any sense. What are your thoughts on this?
These Outlaw's are still 4-5 weeks out, but I can tell that 3 of my 5 Outlaw girls are going to rival the WW's in terms of cola size, girth, length, weight, etc. These will produce buds big-time baby!
And when this first grow is complete I believe Summer the Outlaw will go on record as producing the biggest, fattest, longest cola of all. She is just a monster!!! I think the reason why is because when she was in the early flowering stage she had some stem rot and I had to cut all of her away except for a single cola. Right now she is taller than me! So when I give her nutes, all of it goes to the single cola, and it is HUGE. It will need to fatten up, but when it does, man o man it will be a sight to behold!

On the note of your Outlaw, I'm on my first grow as well, but from what I've read essentially what you've stumbled upon by accident is lollypopping. This process drive all the nutrients to single colas instead of spreading it around to ones that can't get maximum through the canopy there by creating larger colas. It also creates denser buds instad of airy ones that can't get the light they need to tighten up. Anyone wanna back me up on this, or provide some other info to explain what happened? Thanks! Would love to hear final weights from you.

. I've only got 23 posts under my belt. So what are you growing in your garden? What's your set-up? I think your comments on lollipopping are right on. You're correct about me "stumbling on" to something. When I decided to grow twelve plants under a single 600W in a small 6'x3'.5" grow space, I envisioned a ton of cola's that would make up my canopy, like at least 50.
It hasn't turned out that way at all. When they were in veg I would count all the topped main stem cola's and all the side branches and there were well over 50. But what happened is the the stronger, faster growing cola's surpassed the smaller and weaker, leaving the smaller, weaker cola's under the shady canopy where they had no chance to grow into buds. I had no other choice but to take out many of these smaller, weaker cola's to make way for the vigorous cola's that made it to the canopy level. So, in the case of the White Widows and the Outlaw's, I was left with 2-4 big, canopy-level cola's per plant to focus on for bud production; in the case of Summer the Outlaw, a single, mega-cola!
This is how my grow-room cola's stack up in terms of cola numbers....
I have 5 White Widow plants, but only 14 White Widow cola's that are canopy level, and as you can see from the pics, some are nice and fat!
I have 5 Outlaw plants, but only 9 Outlaw cola's that are canopy level, 6 of which are going to be pretty dang massive!
I have a single Afghan Kush Special-Lexi, a petite plant only a meter tall I guess. She has 7 cola's total in the canopy, with a couple very nice one's coming on these last couple weeks.
I have a single Chemdawg-Betsy. She's a bit taller that Lexi, but still have to put boards under her to build her up to get her 6 cola's to canopy level. Her cola's are not nearly as impressive as the WW's or the Outlaw's.
Now what's awesome about the Sativa Outlaw is that her leaves are few in number, fine and narrow, and the light can easily penetrate underneath the canopy to grow the many large nuggets that are now present. The 3 other strains have quite a bit of foliage which hinders good bud production growth under the canopy. There is bud growth there, however, they are not as robust as those closer to the canopy.
I will say this. Growing 12 under a single 600W is a ton of work, because every day I rotate my crop so each plant gets maximum light distribution, given my particular set of circumstances.
Keep tuned in Osoi, I'll keep this going to the very end, including final dry weight of my entire harvest as well as each individual plant. I am very excited because I expect to get close to a pound if not more.

I've got 1 400w in a 3'x2'x5' tent. I'm growing a rare strain from seed, as I've found out my GF is allergic to THC. On super high THC strains she gets almost violently ill. But with strains high in CBD's (which inhibit THC uptake) she's fine. So I'm doing two plants of Sour Tsunami.
I'm about 3 weeks in, and I wasn't sure I was on track until I looked at your early plants and saw that the growth start is right on track. Looks like I've great inter-nodal spacing. Which probably won't matter much as I'll be scrogging and lollypopping in the later stages.
The only real problem with mine setup, from what I can tell, is lack of height. I'm going to have to start flowering rather early as I don't want the final colas to get too close to the light. I've included a couple of shots of the plants at (as I said) rounding the 3 week mark from seed as of Saturday. Thanks for the well done write-up. It's been a great read, and of course I'll stay tuned. Bud porn is always awesome. Sorry about the rotation issues on the photos.

Well good luck on your grow. Keep me updated. Grow Journal? I'll begin my second grow in mid-January with five strains eight plants of some pretty potent stuff so make sure you check back and give visit me every once in a while.
I'm chopping two plants this friday followed by five WW's a week later, then the 5 Outlaws around week twelve. I had a bit of a scare as I found a few seeds in the lower third of the plants, but I didn't find any male organs on the plants and the problem is localized, so I am going to stick out to the end. I don't know what else to do, but think they will be ok. Doesn't all bag weed have a seed or two in it?
Anyway, I cleaned out the lower third branches and bud lower quality buds so I have been "smoking my own"! The rest I am drying to make hash out of later. The Chemdawg is so tasty I just love it, even on a short, three day dry. Very expansive in the lungs and tastes like sour jet fuel with interesting herbal notes. Even the lower buds are putting out some pretty potent weed a week out. It should be frickin' awesome after a 3 week cure, don't you think?

My first grow has been an incredible journey so far; I have learned a lot of great things over these past three months that will benefit me greatly as I approach my second grow beginning about mid-January. I plan on 8 plants of 5 strains. 2-OG Kush, 2-Pineapple Express, 2-Trainwreck, 1-Blue Hash, 1-Cheese Candy. I have done my research on these strains and I am up for the task!
But for now, I still have to finish up my first grow. In preparation for my first harvest I have been clearing out the bottom half of growth that I let get away from me. Most of it is trimmings and crap buds for making hash, but I have also harvested some mid quality buds and about 5 small colas as well. I have been "practicing" trimming them up and drying them on my drying wall and in my compartmentalized drying hamper.
I have been smoking some of the mid quality bud from Chemdawg:smoking:, and all I can say is WOW!If the stuff I am testing out now is sort of the low quality stuff, then the mature, top canopy, main cola stuff is going to be "lights out" shit. Even now the taste is good, with an earthy, sour, jet fuel taste. I can't wait for my official grow and smoke report after a 3 week cure in mason jars.
I plan on harvesting Betsy the Chemdawg this Friday. She doesn't have a lot of buds compared to my other plants, but the buds I plan on harvesting Friday are just solid, rock hard nuggets. She will finish up in her appointed 9 month flower time, maybe just a touch early. And that is ok since I enjoy the psychedelic, head high that mostly cloudy trichomes produce. Here are some pics of Betsy I took this Wednesday morning...

Most of these plants have big, meaty cola's that are sparkling with trichomes! I have smoked a bit of inferior WW buds too. Pretty harsh, but potent stuff. I'm sure things will be better once I harvest the prime cola's and give it all a good cure.
These last plants here are my Outlaw strain from Dutch Passion.
Here they are all lined up together in my grow room.
This is by far the biggest cola in my grow room. When mature, it alone ought to be well over an ounce!

afgan needs a good 2 weeks looks good though, and hell the breeder dont know what time it is half the time dont always depend on thier schedules, plus there is always genetic variation to always take into account.

Betsy came down right on time. This is some strong, serious weed! The very best I have ever smoked...I am not kidding. The nuggets are nice and dense, the flavor is amazing-like lemon floor polish-and the potency is very, very high. All my friends just LOVE Chemdawg! 1-2-3 hits and you are toast. The seed was an Attitude freebie, and what a gift! I'll put up a grow and smoke report next week, with pics.
On the other hand, Lexi, the Afghan Kush Special was the biggest waste of time. I chopped her 2 weeks later than the breeder said, and the buds were shit. It gives a nice, mellow high, but it smells like hay. The buds were so airy that after it dried I had to crumble up all the shit-buds into a schwag-type smoke. Don't grow this unless you want to be sorely disappointed!
White Widows. They came down a couple days late. This too is an awesome smoke, but does not have the excellence of Chemdawg. It's up there though. I was also surprised that WW buds were very light, even though they had the same lighting as all my other girls.
Outlaw. The new Dutch Passion strain that is a cross between a special clone of Amnesia and their super-Haze. 12 weeks flower time. A very resinous plants that smell like Lemon Meringue Pie....No Kidding! It is absolutly frosted! I chopped my first plant down yesterday a week early and gave some of the lower-quality buds a quick dry and a smoke. This is going to be up there with the WW, and maybe even the Chemdawg. No Kidding. The buds are both massive and pretty dense. I have a single cola that is going to bring in at least an ounce. Frickin' thing is a big as my upper arm!
I had my doubts about this strain early on, but I think this is going to be a huge winner. I've missed a few reports lately, but I'll try to get something up early next week. And I'll also give the HSO Chemdawg an official grow/smoke report.

WW still yeilds though, you would think on the plant you have a ton, like more than average yield then when it comes down it weighs in normal :/

Sorry I haven't been attending to my grow journal of late, but I have been busy harvesting and drying my crop. Everything is going GREAT, and I am on track to exceed my one pound goal I set at the beginning of my first grow.
I only have three girls left to chop (out of twelve); all the others, except for one on the drying rack, have already been harvested, dried, and put into mason jars.
The final weight on the five White Widows, the Chemdawg, and the Afghan Kush Special is 283.1 grams. This excludes trimmings, which I have quite a bit of, and intend to make hash out of once I get everything in, dried, and purchase the bags for making the hash.
I haven't factored in the weight of any of the late-flowering Outlaw strain yet (I have five plants), but I have harvested one plant of Outlaw-Teela, A medium sized plant of the five I have grown. I am still getting the buds perfect going back and fourth between jar and paper bag, but right now I am at about 42.1 grams for this one plant alone. I have one plant smaller than her-Bonnie, which should bring in an ounce. She is one of the three remaining in the grow room; I am going to chop Bonnie later today or tomorrow.
(This is Lindy on the drying rack. In terms of weight, she ought to be about the same as Teela, maybe a tad more.
Now I want to describe the quality of the buds I have harvested so far (official smoke reports to come later as they finish curing)
Afghan Kush Special (Lexi). Very disappointed in this strain. Good thing I only grew one of her (a freebie). I yielded over 40 grams on her, but the quality of the buds were absolute SHIT! Very airy and they all basically disintegrate without much effort. Needless to say, I ground up all her buds and have a pint jar of schwag-weed. It smells terrible, like hay, but the smoke is better than the smell. Potency-wise, it gives you a nice, mellow high, which is good because sometimes that is the best high given certain situations.
Chemdawg (Betsy). This is some very strong, serious weed:smoking:! In fact, it is the absolute best weed I have ever smoked in my entire life! The nuggets are dense as fuck, the smell is incredible and pungent, the smoke is just the very best in terms of flavor and complexity, and the high? 2-3 hits is an instant couch-lock...yes, it's that fucking potent! Not for beginners. I have smoked this with friends and they all agree that this is exceptional in every way! Fortunately, I will be growing two more on my next grow.
White Widow (Avery, Opal, Iris, Shannon, and Sophie). This strain is not in the same elite class as the Chemdawg, but it's way up there, superior than most street weed available, I would say. I thought I was going to get well over 1.5 ounces per plant, but as it turns out, White Widow buds are light as a feather, and therefore, I managed just a bit more than an ounce per plant, with Opal bringing in around an ounce and a half. Still, these buds look great (although delicate). Here's some pics of dried WW...
Outlaw (Teela, Lindy, Mila, Summer, and Bonnie). This is a new strain from Dutch Passion. An 80% Sativa strain crossed with Amnesia and Super-Haze. This is a very resinous plant; just absolutely frosted in trichomes, more so than the WW. I have sampled some of the lower quality buds and so far it's very, very good. The smell is fruity and sweet, and I would say it smells like, believe it or not-Lemon Meringue Pie! Just amazing to smell. The smoke is much different than the smell. Not fruity at all, but peppery if anything. The nuggets are very large and compact, so compared to the White Widow, this is going to be a high yielding strain (and I thought it would be the other way around!) I can't wait to try the top-shelf, upper-cola, premium quality buds:smoking:.

Sorry I haven't been attending to my grow journal of late, but I have been busy harvesting and drying my crop
. Everything is going GREAT, and I am on track to exceed my one pound goal I set at the beginning of my first grow. I only have three girls left to chop (out of twelve); all the others, except for one on the drying rack, have already been harvested, dried, and put into mason jars.
The final weight on the five White Widows, the Chemdawg, and the Afghan Kush Special is 283.1 grams. This excludes trimmings, which I have quite a bit of, and intend to make hash out of once I get everything in, dried, and purchase the bags for making the hash.
I haven't factored in the weight of any of the late-flowering Outlaw strain yet (I have five plants), but I have harvested one plant of Outlaw-Teela, A medium sized plant of the five I have grown. I am still getting the buds perfect going back and fourth between jar and paper bag, but right now I am at about 42.1 grams for this one plant alone. I have one plant smaller than her-Bonnie, which should bring in an ounce. She is one of the three remaining in the grow room; I am going to chop Bonnie later today or tomorrow.
(This is Lindy on the drying rack. In terms of weight, she ought to be about the same as Teela, maybe a tad more.
Now I want to describe the quality of the buds I have harvested so far (official smoke reports to come later as they finish curing)
Afghan Kush Special (Lexi). Very disappointed in this strain. Good thing I only grew one of her (a freebie). I yielded over 40 grams on her, but the quality of the buds were absolute SHIT! Very airy and they all basically disintegrate without much effort. Needless to say, I ground up all her buds and have a pint jar of schwag-weed. It smells terrible, like hay, but the smoke is better than the smell. Potency-wise, it gives you a nice, mellow high, which is good because sometimes that is the best high given certain situations.
Chemdawg (Betsy). This is some very strong, serious weed:smoking:! In fact, it is the absolute best weed I have ever smoked in my entire life!
