Wow, just wow. Look what they try to sneak into the newest proposed bill. If this passes, I'm going to have to let my patients go and just grow for myself. Its not worth losing the privacy of my house just because I'm growing a few plants for people. Man colorado is just pumping out the crazy laws.
:cry::cry:

Yeah saw this one coming, if this bill doesn't pass it will be put into another. They want to track us all, soon you will be required to register your cultivation location even if its just for you. I think i am going to make a rabbit hole size door to get to my grow, then it won't even be worth the work to get to it to count plants. But they are just going to push us back underground like (my estimate) 80% of smokers stayed.

Yeah seriously considering it myself........... I wouldn't be surprised if 10-20% of the registry drops off, new people will come along, but i do believe it will drop significantly.

It's so much better in California where registering with the state is OPTIONAL. Wonder how much legal protection growers/smokers would actually have in Colorado with JUST a doctor's recomendation? I don't think it's ever played out in court yet. Does it say in AM20 that you HAVE to register with the state?

talked with a guy in the know today, and the Doc's are not slowing down in signing patients, just the opposite. a big reason why they are doing it- (imo) the end goal is ending/cutting down on the back end black market trade that is feeding the surrounding states and the east coast. same reason they are wanting to force MMCs to install ultra-surveilence systems and plant management/tracking systems.

Getting ready to Legalize in 2012. Colorado is going to be the first to tax and track it all.

An old high-on friend long gone used to say that doing anything with the state is like, 'Entering the mouth of the beast.'

I feel for you, I regret registering in Michigan, too.

I have an up to date recommendation and that's it, no registry , nor will I ever be in the registry. I believe a person is better off out of the registry than in the registry. Having your name on a state list brings with it a greater chance of having enforcers come in and hassle you if not trump up charges whenever they fill like picking someone at random off the registry to violate. I'm a firm believer in the saying "Out of Sight, Out of Mind". Though I can't enter a dispensary because I'm not in the registry, but then I won;t pay their highway robbery prices either so I would have no business with dispensaries anyway even if I were in the registry.

lol 200 an oz is robbery? Someone call the cops iv been robbed!

No privacy, damn!
Why buy it when you know how to grow it, and yeah $200 is high, although lower than the $350 average of 2 yrs ago, still too much. When it becomes straight out legal for all, just as no one needs a recommendation for beer/liquor , then it will drop another $100, hell ....it might even hit $75 an oz, but $100 an oz for a one-toke lung buster hit and your high for 2 hours, yeah that would be a fair price and they'd still make profits because more people would be buying more because they could afford to buy more.

Make fun if you want.

If you think so, there are some really really good dispensaries out there. No chems, willing to let you come take a look at how they do things, explain everything and answer any questions you may have. But there are some really really bad ones too. But i could only imagine what it must be like to try to actually manage a warehouse of plants, let alone keep quality top notch, amazing when done properly let me tell you........
Anyhow, dispensaries are not all bad, keep an open mind, there were some that were thrilled to spend the money to get set up so they could show the world how good things really can be.

Yea they just all got together and pushed for 1284, thats all. Dispensaries view caregivers as a threat and have done all they can to legislate them out of the picture. Fuck all dispensaries.

Not all dispensaries are out to eliminate caregivers.
Some of us used to be caregivers and had to step up in order to prevent kicking patients to the curb.
Some of us provide assistance to caregivers whenever we can.
Some of us did not support HB10-1284 in the least.
Some of us have given patients more assistance than you ever could.

Why you gotta be a dick ? We are all in the same mess here.

baddog, sorry you've had bad experiences, but lumping all dispensaries together would be like me calling you a caregiver that is only in it for the $$ you make illegally selling on the back end. I don't know you and you don't know me. so don't make assumptions that make you look like the ass.

besides, you obviously don't have enough knowledge to make an informed remark. do you know how many shops are failing because of bad management or bad growers? if those same Disp with sucky growers was instead able to obtain high quality meds from a caregiver (eg:like Cali allows) then they wouldn't be failing. but they must stick with the 70/30 rule, and therefor will fail. So why would those disp. want to cut out the caregiver? just one example of many, why your logic fails.

I certainly won't dispute that there are some that want to limit CGs scope of work, but most of us do not and do not really care. there is no competetion. it's not a race to see who can take care of patients better. maybe I just see the big picture differently as well.
