carbon filter

hey I'm just wondering if it would be a stupid idea to tape a carbon replacement filter for an air purifier to a fan and if you think that would work to help control odor thanks

tried it (carbon filter sheet replacement).... i was gonna modify the diy carbon filter with it, hooked it all up and light a cig, sucked through and i swear it smelt stronger! then i did it with the activated carbon DIY and it was 3/4 gone, but still a faint smell of smoke. im almost 4 weeks in flowering 3 fems nice full smelly buds, no scent around the box, i owe some $ to the guy that posted that A+++++++++
