Carbon Filter Alternatiive

So I have two rooms. a 2x2 and a 2x2.5. I do not exhaust any air because I am using an LED and an 150hps that does not produce very much heat. So exhausting heat has never crossed my mind. But they are starting to flower and it is becoming a concern. If I use a carbon filter I know I need to exhaust all that air. Is there an alternative to this?

I saw this and was wondering if it would be worth my money. Maybe putting one in each room.

What do you guys think? Thanks for your help.

You need to exhaust the air no matter what you do, where you exhaust it is up to you. Some people exhaust it outside the cab into a room, some out the window. But your cab is going to need fresh air for your plants to grow, if air goes in it has to come out. Anyone who has a lot of experience here is going to tell you that a carbon scrubber is the only way to go, and I would agree. Filters like the one you posted aren't really meant to deal with flowering plants, just typical odors.

The links in my sig will give you a good combo thats fairly cheap.

Those also work really well, but I would not rely on one for flowering plants, but as extra protection only.

I think you need to decide just HOW important it is to you. If it means jail time or being kicked out of your house, get the scrubber... The ONA stuff can work in conjunction as added protection but I would not rely on those alone.

And as for air to come in and out I open the cab and closet door and have an oscillating fan hit both rooms from time to time. Its an apartment grow so i really dont have any intention to exhaust the air. And its far away from my window sadly T_T

You can exhaust the air into the same room, it will be filtered. You can even run the whole thing inside the cab and not exhaust, though I don't know how great it will work, but some people do it.

Although heat may not be a problem, without air exchange humidity might cause trouble and lack of CO2 definitely will. Indoor air is perfect because of elevated CO2. On the other hand the air exchange will lead to skunk odors that you will be immune to and most others will be able to smell. You can make a DIY carbon filter with a $5 rubbermaid bin, $13 Lowes bathroom fan and 5lbs coconut carbon from eBay ($27). Good luck with LED and the smell!
