I just got my medical Marijuana Applicantion singed by my doctor today and will be sending to Health Canada tonight.Would just like some input from someone whos applicantion has been approved. If your Doctor has singed off on your app.. does this mean Health Canada will most likely grant you a licence? My daily amount will be 3 grams. From what I understand Iwill be able to possess 90 grams, possess 15 plants at any one time with an indoor grow. And store 675 grams at any one time.Would just like to know if Iam understanding this right.

Hey, I live in Ontario Canada and I just got back from my Dr. without any luck. I had the forms the photos and the standard $80 form charge all ready for him to sign and stamp. He has been very easy for anything I ever needed in the past. But for some reason he wouldnt touch this with a 10 foot pole!! Some of the guys here who have their permit are allowed 25 plants. Anyways just curious what province your in?

I had the same problem with my doctor signing the application and when I looked into it from health Canada's point of view, they said that the main reason that the doctors don't want to sign in Ontario is because they have been advised not to because their insurance could go up.

You can ask your doctor if he will talk with Health Canada about it because a lot of doctors don't know about the MMAR program.

If you need medical marijuana you might want to apply to a Compassion Club that is close to you. They are very helpful with any questions and are usually more than willing to talk to your doctor.

I wish you the best of luck. Just keep being persistent.

point of the matter is.
It doesn't matter who you get to talk to you doctor.
It is a waste of your time.
Just because you get somebody to talk to your doctor, do you think he will just change his mind?
If the doctor originally said no, then he will always say no.

I am in the same boat right now.
Even though medical marijuana is proven to work, and is supposed to be provided.
There is no actual way to get it.

I asked my doctor about medical marijuana.
He BS'd me that I needed 3 specialists to sign, and even then the red tape is too much.
I then told him I already had the B1 form in my pocket.
I asked him if it was just that he would not sign his name to it because of pressures from the CMA or insurance.
He smirked and nodded yes.

I am going back this week again.
I am taking forms again.
I am asking he sign them again.(I know he will refuse)
So I will then demand he send me to my specialist to sign them.
If I find myself at a dead end road.

I AM GOING TO MY MP!
I will let him know of my situation in person.
I will also let him know it is against my rights to withhold medical marijuana.

The MP will have 3 choices......
Help me find a doctor to sign.
or.
State he'll turn me in (don't think so unless he wants bad publicity)
or.
Doesn't help me , and tries to forget about me

If he decides the third option to forget about me I will give him in writing a notice of future intentions of using marijuana for medical purposes from now on, no matter how I have to get it.
Legally or not.

I believe this is the best way for me to cover my butt, and fight for my rights at the same time.
Aslong as I prove that I tried to my limitations of receiving a medical license for my dis-ability.
Then I have done all that is required.
The rest is the flawed system to blame.

If I did get into trouble with the law.
I would first notify them that my MP has full acknowledgements of my doings, and therefor is an aider and abedder.
So we'll have to swing by there to pick him/her up too.
Oh, and I would make sure my family members call all media to cover my story.

One way or another, I have 100% right to medical marijuana.
I am a B1 form patient.
Not a grey area B2 form patient.

I will try my best through legal channels.
But in the end, nobody will have a hand over me.

Hi snaggy.
I know just what you are going through because I just spent the last 10 months jumping through the same hoops as you.

It is because of the doctors insurance that they don't want to sign. Their insurance goes up so they are not re-imburst at all for sticking their neck out-so to speak.

I am also a category #1 and my case is clear cut but the fact that my doctor didn't want to sign totally messed up my chance of being legal. (have decades of medical history to prove it)

What a lot of doctors don't know is that these doctos don't have to admit that it heps you but just that it 'may help you and the 'board of directors and physicians' don't want them knwing this.

One avenue you may want to try is a compassion club. They aren't quite as strict and they are a LOT of 'personable' than the gov't.

Good luck 'cause I understand how frustrating this can be.

As you can see my disability (as your I am sure) also plays alot on our nerves and stress levels.
Its hard enough to live with our problems.
People take doors, getting dressed, hygene for granted.
Then everywhere we turn is more red tape.
It gets quite frustrating.

If it wasn't for pot, I would have already had a nervous breakdown, little lone all the physical relief it can give me.

I hear ya on this one and I DO have a mental disorder
Its very frustrating. Its great that canada has opened its doors to this idea but there proceedure certainly lacks integrity.

I have been stressing myself out for at least 10 months. Asl some of the members here how frustrating this has been for me. I have phoned, emailed my doctors, health canada, and have been given the run around since day one. I finally got fed up and would not sit still any longer.

What I suggest to you is go online and look up compassion clubs and find one in your area. They are so much more compassionate and helpful and will be on YOUR side.
I really feel for people like yourself and can't help get frustrated when I see others post about how easy it was to scam the gov't to get theirs. Meanwhile legit people like you and me and get screwed.Compassion clubs work for its members in helping them get their cards without the regular bs. Check it out. If you have a legit case, you won't be sorry you did.

And hang in there. I have a good feelng that you will get yours soon and I have good intuition. Better than good;)

This is true BUT she is a very busy woman and it might take over a month for a reply back.

His best bet right now, knowing the Canadina laws here and what he is presently going through, would be to get in touch with a compassion club.

The catch 22 situation we have over here IS that you can have any serious disorder and have all the signatures and paperwork gathered that you can get hold of BUT if the doctor isn't going to sign saying that he believes marijuana 'may' benefit the patient, then it doesn't matter. He won't get it.
THIS is where I was stuck for the longest time.:?

The thing that 'some' compassion clubs do is have a house doctor that goes through your papers and does his own individual exam. He can then check your papers for you. I'm not sure if I was suppose to mention this but it is all legal.
Its still as legal as going through health canada.

He then can either purchase from that compassion club and / or grow his own if he then obtains this growing licence, which is easy once you have the mm card.

Michelle Rainey, part of the BC three is a member of our forum, why not ask for her help?? VV
