Can you sprout seeds in soil successfully?

My "magic potion" is H202.
My last germination round.
Soak 12 hours. Strait into medium. Had 33 out of 36 fully sprouted in 4 days including the 12 hour soak.
3 duds. They never popped.
Don't know if the H202 helps but it certainly doesn't hurt any.

If taking seeds to a site and going strait into ground then it's the tried and true ziplock bag & paper towels. Usually start em at night. 2 full days later make the trek out.Plant the ones that sprouted tails.
Then plant the rest and hope for the best.
What strength? Thats a first for me, would have thought that it would kill it.

I used to use paper towels.
I simplified it, so now I just put them in my medium (soil-less blend), put 'em under the lights. Keep the soil moist. They germ just fine, and I save a step as well.
Also, less potential trauma to the itsy-bitsy tap roots, as I do not have to move them from paper towels to container...I use 16-20 oz styrofoam cups.
