Can you confirm if this is mag deficiency?

maybe you could get trays/saucers for each pot and set something between the pot and tray that would lift the pot off the tray an inch or 2

the excess 3 cups that falls into the tray might likely evaporate before the next watering

this is what i do. I have saucers and then some small pieces of pvc pipe to sit the pot on.

The excess wont evap but it means i can get a hose in and remove the majority of the run off.

im doing the organic diy soil amendment thing so I don't need to worry about getting the run off like as if I was using salt fertilizers

the pvc sounds like a good way to go

We'll see. I don't see why I couldn't just let it sit in sink for 10 min and then put it back in after runoff is done. Trying to spend any more cash on this

that will work fine.

It all starts adding up doesnt it?..i just bought a dehumidifier..playing outside is soooo much cheaper than indoor. Last week my exhaust fan and circulating fan both decided to die...

Woof that's rough. Yea it certainly does. If I hadn't just started a new commissioned job it wouldn't be bad but I'm prob not getting paid for another month or so.

Another question. Got any good links or ideas for controlling odor? Last time I did this was super stealth in a friend's wide open basement and I used an intake fan and a sweet nylon/activated carbon/pencil holder carbon filter and you couldn't smell a thing throughout even flower (as much as you can call that one flower lol)

Anyway, I'm in a different situation now. My wife is already talking about the smell and wants it gone so I know I gotta get on this before it really starts in flower. However I don't have the opportunity to do good ventilation because I'm in a closet in guest bedroom and it's about 10 feet from window across bedroom and we get plenty of guests all the time so I can't run a tube or anything across the bed lol so preferably something passive like an odor eating bucket or something would be preferable to an active fan etc, particularly since I'd like to keep the door closed whenever possible aka when the lights are off since I'll need to keep temps down when lights are on during day buy keeping it open and we're both gone.

Has anyone had good experience with anything passive like that?

If you can't provide a lot of odor removal, you're screwed on the odor problem. You really need duct work and one good fan to get the odor out. The odor will be smelled even outdoors. You can try burning incense when people are around but the best thing is don't have anyone around.

I have used this in the past, used to be available at the hydro store, been a few years since I used it but it did help.

You really need a carbon filter. But even then when you open the door to your grow it may stick the house out for a few hrs. If your serious about growing then you will have to think of a solution to this problem.
Can you run ducting up thru the top of the wardrobe into the ceiling? Have your filter in the ceiling (could even have your extraction fan up there to- less noise ) and duct outside from up there. If its not a built in wardrobe some boxes on top will hide the ducting

Careful of the clothes you ware when your trimming etc to. I sometimes have to get under a scrog net and i come our reeking.

Thanks guys, soon as I posted this I ended up ordering an Ona. We'll see how it goes. I'll give an update soon, they're looking wonderful. Going to be flipping soon. Might have one or two visitors, we'll see how it goes.

Been years since I switched to charcoal filter. Hope you got the gel not the liquid. Liquid is fine to hydrate the gel but gel worked better on a plate.
It helped a lot when I used it.
I would put some on a small plate and add to it a few times then when it dries you can re hydrate it with water.
If you need more than one plate with a heaping tbl of gel add a second plate somewhere and it should help.
If you get a visitor spread some right before they come over. Good Luck, let us know how it worked, I found it worked well and re purchased it a number of times.
Another trick for the home grower if someone is coming over and you want to change the air fast. Make a cup of coffee, quick with the K cups and a nice air change, drinking the coffee is optional or show them how nice you are and offer it to them :)

Ya I'm hoping it works well. Got the gel for sure.

Just fed them for first time in 4 days. Calmag, 5.5-6.0 ph again to offset soil ph, molasses, and A+B. Got some good runoff and let sit in the sink for 10 min to the drips stopped. Will take some pics later today, but I think I will be flipping over to 12/12 in the next few days. Don't want them to get too unruly.

I'd do the ductwork and carbon filter but I can't get serious where I am now. Soon as I'm in my own house and we don't have to worry about visitors going down to the basement etc I'll do it up real nice, but this is the furthest I'm going to go here. I originally intended on doing one or two plants but ended up with 4-5 so more than I anticipated already.

If I flip sometime this week I should be done right around the end of October.

You could also put a fan sucking through a carbon filter in the room, just recirculating air, until the day comes when you can install an exhaust duct.

How would that be possible? I'm all for speeding this up as I'll have a headache visit to work around in October, but everything I'm reading says 60 day indoor flowering time. That means end of October. I see 6-8 weeks or 7-9 weeks. You're talking 2-3 weeks. Mistype or...?

I was wondering about how/if the size of the plant when you flip it to flower determines the flowering time? Any info on that would be helpful, especially since they're not very big, about 1ft wide by 1 ft tall. Except the kush's of course, which I'm just happy they're alive lol

I did get the gel btw. Should work nicely methinks.

As promised, albeit late, here's some pictures. Again, I'm thinking of flipping them tomorrow, so if that's a good idea or not, please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

Meant to say November not September..sorry..i was probably drinking...:dunce:

The breeder times are normally for optimal conditions in hydro. Most of us dont grow in optimal conditions and soil is slower than hydro. Its not uncommon for a grow to go two weeks (or longer) than breeder estimates.

Growers going by breeder times often harvest to early and miss the bud stacking on weight..

Damn. Not what I wanted to hear lol do you know if smaller plants flower more quickly than bigger ones?
