Can you clone AutoFlowers?

I take clones from autos, so i can reverse it with STS and collect pollen.

I have made auto seeds Piece of piss. Easier than photos.
Ok this works... But tell me why you couldn't just spray 1 branch with STS while it's still on the plant... And collect that same pollen from that branch?

Lol this is turning out like a defoliation argument. Even though non defolled growers ALWAYS have bigger plants...People still believe that defoliation can increase yields...what a joke. Just to hammer it home...the right side had 4 plants that were defolled...They yielded the same amount as the three plants on the left that weren't defolled. Biggest non defolled plant yield 190g, biggest defolled plant 128g. Defoliation is a great way to reduce your yield.

I have never thought of doing it that way, but , i like to keep the pollen in a separate tent. I brush the pollen on with a paintbrush, so not to ruin a whole plant to seed.

Not auto's ..

I'm not sure what the debate still is, of course you CAN clone auto's but it's not practical. You CAN also take a piss on them too if you like, but why would ya go that route.

For the diehards that must try this anyway here is how I would do it. When I top auto's I sometimes remove the first node if I figure they aren't going to make it to the top of the canopy. There would be your 2 clones to play with and won't hurt your yield on the original auto. That will give you anywhere from 5-20 days max to root and veg your clones. Good luck.

Honestly "selfing" a branch on your auto via CS or STS is far more practical. Plus pollen chucking for personal use is kind of fun. I have 1000's of crosses and selfs to play with from reliable (over priced) genetics. Don't be scarred off by the thought of losing half of your crop to stray pollen. I take almost zero care when handling pollen and even keep my selfied plants in the same room as my grow tent. I might get the odd seed in a branch that I didn't intentionally pollinate, and I just treat it as a bonus.

One reason to clone an autoflower might be to gift or isolate a small part of a plant for the purpose of seed propagation in one location. while flowering the mother in another location.

For instance you are growing an auto flower outdoors under natural light but your friend is making seeds indoors under 12/12. Two locations. two purposes, two plants needed.
