Can it be done? My super small/stealthy grow cab

Hey guys, I'm adding a poll to this thread to see if you guys think I will be wasting my time or not with this. I have a 24x24x48 grow tent as well but debating buying an led, inline fan, and carbon filter for an extra $200. What do you guys think? I'm obviously not going for the biggest yield in the history of rollitup, in fact, I'd be pretty happy with 7 grams. So what do you guys think? Should I try growing my northern lights seed in this box or should I stop being a cheap-ass and put out the extra money to complete my tent set up that is sitting in my closet? The only reason I'm thinking the tent is because it has more reliable odor control, however I'm also thinking it won't get good air circulation in my closet with the door closed as it will not have much space between the passive intake and wall (about a foot and a half). Please remember, I'm not trying to get a huge yield, doing this more just for the heck of it

PS- I need to order an 80mm PC fan for the exhaust and a 60mm PC fan for the intake. As you can see from the picture, I already have the holes cut out

PPS- I have 3 100w equivalent 6500k CFLs in there right now, putting out 1600 lumens each. I then plan on using 2 250w equivalent 2700k CFLs putting out 3850 lumens for the flowering phase (of course only if I decide to use this box instead of finishing my tent set up)

PPPS- box dimensions are 11x11x16 (WxDxH)

Yeah you can grow some micro plants in your micro chamber. I did something like that years ago with cfl and an old chest of draws. I also built one for a friend and his little plants stayed about 7 inch tall and were very pretty. At least doing that your not stressing about your co2 levels, small plants use small amounts, go bigger and fill a tent and you will have air exchange issues as you predict.
There's a micro stealth section on here and some people even use PC cases to grow in.

Its not a waste if you enjoy the process and produce!

Spend the 200 on the tent. The micro grow could be fun but I'd rather go for better results right away. I'd get the best light I could for the size of the tent, cheap fan to move air around, an exhaust fan.and get started planting. Add on as needed.

I was going to go with a mars hydro 300, VIVOSUN 6 inch inline fan with speed control and a VIVOSUN carbon filter. That's about all my budget allows for. Let's say you weren't too worried about the difference in yields, would you still go for the tent? How much do you think I would yield in this box and how much would you guess for the tent? Thanks for the help!

Just get an exahust fan have a passive intake could use something like this for temp control https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0152LYY0I/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_16?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A197YPAPAP8V04 that 1 is 120v they have 12v ones for pc fans etc i just hook my exhaust fan to the cooling it turns on to exchange the air with the passive intake.also make sure you build a shroud or bend so you dont get light leaks.

What's the best yield do you guys think I could get in the box? What about in a 24x24x48 tent with a 300w mars?

i dont know about a mars but i just did a grow in a 2x2x4 tent with 300 watt of cfl i got 98g of good dense (for cfls) bud and little over 2z of trim and larfy buds for hashits in my sig i need to update it tho.

Damn that's impressive. I might need to go with CFL instead of LED now haha was that just from one plant?

I think you can do the same in a 2x2 with the fan and filter.

Nah im going led right now getting an amare se450 cfls work but just not as dense as i want them dont get me wrong smokes great smells awesome like a can of sprite but i smoked this bud before and was way denser prob the cfls and i had to move and got some def. but eh

Haha I'm so torn between growing in this box I made and a tent. It probably shouldn't be this hard. It's just something about the cab that's is wanting me to use it (maybe because I made it myself) however the idea of a much bigger yield is making me want to go for the tent

just grow with what you have till you get some cash to upgrade just get 1 thing at a time but also keep a look out for things that you would want in the next area you want to grow in (like a 4x4x7 etc) but for personal micro is awesome i used to grow out of a pc when i was a teen got me what i needed. I just got an armoire im going to gut and make into a SoG cab so i always have some then i have my 2x2x4 tent for vegging and i have my 2.5x3x8 closet im going to use the amare SE450uvb in and going to be my experimental flower room going to try and grow a mainlined monster this time but i cant decide which strain i want to go with lolz.

Alright that's what I'm going to do. A few grows in my small box as I slowly accuire some top of the line equipment for my tent along with gaining experience. He last thing I would want to do is put all this money into a tent only to have a failed grow op and be down a lot of money. Everyone keep an eye out for when I start a journal on it thanks everyone for the help!!

Just one more question, would I be better off using a passive intake for this grow? As of now, it's active because I feel like an 80mm PC fan alone doesn't have enough pull to suck air through the bottom hole and keep the box well-ventilated
