Hey friends,

View attachment 4007308 View attachment 4007309 I have a plant 28 days from sprout, that seems to have huge fan leaves. Leaves are almost as big as my hand and its almost like they completely shade the under growth. The undergrowth seems very small... Should I cut like maybe 4 Big fan leaves to give the undergrowth light? I know plants need their fan leaves but doesn't the undergrowth need light too? Somethin's gotta give right?

Advise please.....
Top it and try lst training. Loads of videos on it .this will help u get light to inner parts ..and yes u can defoliate but I'd only remove 1 or 2 at a time . I do with mine and have no problem . Makes them stroger plants .. in the wild these get munched on by wild animals and so on yet carry on to grow robust plants ..topping and lst training is the way forward. Give it a look

Now see Davy, this is an example of a very nice post from a nice person who is trying to help, unlike the secret guy. Buddy is a well known member and just finished a nice 1st grow in July and is stating, not suggesting that topping and listing is the way to go. There are people who would disagree that topping and listing are the way forward and arguments or debates ensue.
Many of us do the same as Buddy when we are new, we try to help because we are encouraged to until we find out maybe we should do more reading than typing till we have a few more grows under our belt.

We all grow differently around here. Don't take offense. To give u an example, when I first got on here I had the earn my spurs as it were. I got my balls busted a couple of time. My growing style is very unorthodox, its just the way I do things. Don't get discouraged, even this old dog learned a couple of new tricks on this site. I appreciate the ones who honestly help, or i wouldn't have gotten through the grow I just did. I've even given some of my thoughts on others grow. We are a good family. Just keep it green take your time.

I've looked at tour plants in the beginning of this post, you may not know it, but hose little ones are healthy and got good structure to them. Don't fret, I my mind think you got a good start.

Guy should just let it grow like a Christmas tree and try to keep it healthy. You gotta walk before you run, just see if you can keep it alive.
That's what I'm kinda thinking to, especially for a first time growing. Its always a good thing to start at the basic and then if you decide move up. A I always remember the acronym "kiss" for me personally. Dunno how everyone else is.

Thank you everyone for the words of encouragement and for sticking up for me by not letting me listen to that awful advise. You are all absolutely right, there is a lot of good growers on here and I do understand that I'm gonna need help from all of you from time to time if i want to be successful. I'll need to learn who is legit and who's not and I'm sure in time I will know who's who.

Thanks again guys! happy growing
