I had some clones vegging and looked at the leaves. I see little small black spec with red looking head. All my equipment is fresh from hydro store so may have a tag along from there. I have not had any luck properly identifying it appears to be mite but one im not familiar with. It stays on the top of the leaves different then mites I have seen. I'm in Colorado fyi. So here it is you can notice the damage it caused too. Help please.bug.jpg

They really aren't in mass yet but I'm treating with some safer insecticidal soap today Ill check back here. Hope I can figure it out. I'm first week of veg and would gladly axe them all if this is something I cant beat. Just want to save flowering plants at 4 weeks now. Root Aphids were horrible had to kill the grow and bleach everything at my old spot was down a month before I fired up again. Not trying to grow bugs with my buds. thanks for letting me know i'm not alone.

You need to shut your fan off for a few hours if you are running continuous ventilation for them to be effective.
All though they work they also can introduce poisons into your plant. Read the label very carefully and you will see they are not recommended for ANY living space. They are probably one of the most abused pesticides on the market today and have no place in a grow.

I would treat with neem oil and/or pyrethrin. Its always good to use a few different pesticides during treatment to lessen the risk of the insect building an immunity to a specific chemical.

The damage is from on top of leaf where the bug is, which in my experience mites don't hang out. Usually underneath with eggs and leave spots as opposed to trails that it seems to be leaving. It doesn't look by color to be any identified spider mite. Any other input? Thanks

Living space by the companies definition is any room people occupied by people more than 4 hrs/day. Thats not my grow room.

Its routinely used at mushroom farms. It breaks down fast..just don't breath it in before it has a chance. edit: You have mites.

So this bug was a clover mite local to Colorado and no big deal compared to mendo mite. Still gonna slaughter them though. Here's the plan. They are confined to one room so far. So I hit them with nuke em first only saw 2 on the plants. Going to follow with a azatrol three days later, then hit em with pyrethium spray 3 days later , then azamax. Do it all again last week of veg here in four weeks. Thanks for everyone's input.

buddy

hit them with the good stuff
Chrysanthemum.......this is the name of what u want to get Pyrethrum

that stuff will knock out any bug in higher stronger doses it was used by ninja back in the day to kill ppl .............it is a nerve toxin that comes from the crushed forms of this 1 2 sprays is all u will need any bug will die off........the toxic to humans amount is much much much much higher then what u need to kill those little buggers.........this is 100% natural nothing chemical expect if u have city water for the spray bottle

my older brother has done this a few times he swears by it ....leaves no taste damage no bad effects nothing and it works ........infact he warned me to only use this stuff or the chill mix..........everything else he has tried has effected it in some way except those 2
