In my exp ymmv the air bubles really agitate the sloution and like in river beds and such the slime always kinda stick to.stuff in the water
I think the bubles basically deposit the stuff on the roots.

does this make sense if not disregard

Ya I guess so. I mean your saying the bubbles kick up the stuff at the bottom and when they pop at the top of the water level, that's where they deposit the gunk. Right?

I hated that hydro crap....black snot everywhere...could not get rid of it once it started, but I didn't have a lot of patients for it either. The way shit can go sideways so quick was one of my other issues....

Thats kinda my idea on it no science to back it up .
if you have a rot it should stink .
how much air do you have in there sometimes peeps dont have enough .
the only thing you said that might concern me is you said some off the roots slime off I think this is happening simply because the nutes sediment on them is blocking air to get to them .
if you like go ahead ang give it a hydrogen peroxide I forget the mix but you can find it

do that and at least its shoyld take some slime off so you can see whats going on
whats your res temp?

I meant that you should consider foilar feeding,
as you can't do no bad things,
and change the water in the pint sprayer
for fresh 2x times per week,
changing your rez in dwc,
once a week is also good,
see it as a flush

I have a 110L/min aire pump servicing 8 buckets plus control bucket. Resort Temps are 67f. This is what the plants themselves look like

Can you get a pic of the water bubles
I always had mine look like seltzer water the goal is to have your entire res filled with the SMALLEST bubbles you can as you CAN NEVER have too much air
not yelling just highlighted

Also dumb question but you have air bubbles in all of your buckets right not just the res?

Lol yes every bucket has an air stone. I upload the best pic I can of the bubbles. I actually just read a study about dissolved oxygen in hydroponics. I think someone posted it on thcfarmer. Apparently the optimal oxygenation is 30ppm of oxygen. Once you hit 40-50ppm, growth slows compared to the 30 range. I however don't have 600 bux to spend on a dissolved oxygen meter ...Don't mind the foam in the pics, it's my bennies having a party

Lol yea man your bubbles are bigger but.you def hav enough.

like I said if you dont have foul odors then your probably over thinkin it I know I did when I ran botanicare thats why I switched I wanted my root balls nice and white.

now I dont care as long as they're happy

Thanks guys. I'll definitely try the foliar feed. I guess it was the zho that stained the roots. I ran advanced sensi a+b the whole time and the roots stayed white. Never even occurred to me that roots could get stained by zho
