honestly i think the community would be better served by a concerted effort to raise awareness of the dea schedule rather than helping each other hide from the feds or sniping people with petitions. i never see any cnn polls on what people think of the dea schedule. it's not talked about much in the media and i'd be willing to bet a large percentage of americans aren't even aware of how fucked it is. i know a lot of anti-pot people who would sooner agree to reclassify cannabis than legalize it. a lot of the community has been taking the wrong approach.

I dont think it's over yet. CA is the heavyweight among the states. And there's another 15 states to follow. Thats a lot of political clout.

My guess is the feds don't like the position they are in and are trying to force a resolution one way or the other, that the drug be rescheduled so the states can make their own decision or shut the whole game down. If the states force the Feds' hand on rescheduling then Obama is off the hook. He's not weak on drugs, they made him do it.
