Of course the Los Angeles Crimes doesn't report the whole truth, because they are leftists who support the Marxist Welfare State that exists in Commiefornia.

For the entire truth of the matter, check this link out:

And as you read the truth presented on this link, you will have a good idea of exactly where the entire country is going to go if we do not stop the socialist march the country is headed in. The Obama regime will only heighten the speed of our collapse as a nation.

And how much is the budget calculated to increase in 2010? Another 8%.

Look-up "base-line budgeting".

Governments can NEVER do with less.

Just another guy that is demeaning to anyone who doesn't agree with his views...
Bullshit! Get a grip, will ya? :wall:

What is happening in California, will be happening all across the country unless we stop it. Both the Republicans ... and especially the Democrats have been espousing and fomenting the expansion of government power for decades now. Here in California, we are beginning to see the final results: A state government that has a 45 billion dollar deficit that it doesn't know to close. Government regulatory agencies that are regulating businesses out of business. A tax structure that is driving our best jobs out of the state. And, government spending that is completely out of control.

Its time to face facts folks. The Nanny State mentality is based upon lies. You have been sold a bill of goods and as Obama's preacher said so well, "The Chickens Are Coming Home to Roost."

Vi's dead on. The simple fact of the matter is California spends to much money. But if they raise taxes jobs will leave if they cut spending 100's of thousands could have there jobs in danger. We need to bend over and take it. Shrink the size of government cut taxes, jobs will come back. The harder we try to fight the inevitable the worse the end result will be.

I think the chickens are roosting at GM, they got 13 million dollars of taxpayer money and they are already crying that the money will run out at the end of March. Now they want more money. Sorry, we're CLOSED...........

You made a typo Miss, it wasn't 13 million. 13 million might be what GM is losing an hour or a day.

It was 13 Billion (got to make sure there's the proper level of outrage)

Though 13 million/ 13 billion, either way, with that kind of money I'd be more than happy to build a manufacturing plant and employee thousands of former GM workers building something... one thing or the other...

At least then the government would likely get its 13 Billion back in tax receipts...

But what about their families?

Don't their families deserve to eat too?

Sorry Miss, I'm being sarcastic...

You know that, and I know that, and I'm thinking that we'd both like to see an end to the bail outs, and see how many poorly managed companies crash, but all those poorly managed companies have employees, and our government has this idiotic notion that it should help those people by propping up the badly managed companies they work for.

The employees need to gather their pitchforks and torches and head on over to the homes of the CEOs that plundered the company. They should go kick their asses and take their stuff. I haven't made dime one from anything related to their company, I have my own struggling to do.

Well, since the last regime lost in excess of three million jobs, it seems this administratioin doesn't wan't to start off with another 3 million job loss situation. Maybe it can be avoided, maybe not. If those CEOs get one stinkung dime for themselves or for dividends to stockowners, then the criminal courts should step into action and heads should roll.

:: coughs ::

Except for the fact that at the banks the employees were part of the problem with their MILLION dollar and Hundreds of Thousand dollar year end bonuses.

Perhaps the janitors ought to take a pitchfork to them, and the CEOs.

And GM, well the employees at GM are just as guilty as the CEOs, both of them were crying, we want more, when there was no more to give with out running the company into the ground.

Actually those employees in general, accepted pay and benefit cuts to try and hold on to their jobs. People are not exactly as stupid as you want to paint them. If you know if you don't do something to lessen the burden on your employer, your job may be gone, most people will give. My wife accepted a cut to three days because business is slow. she still has a job, thank Gawd.

Strange, they could have saved themselves considerable trouble had they been acting that intelligently 20 years ago when GM, Ford and Chrysler still had 60%+ market share...

I really doubt the employees received any bonus checks. Things like that are for suits only.

Obama has so far on his first day, frozen the wages of his senior staff and slammed the door shut on lobbyists. No more gifts of any size from lobbyists.

I think the CEO of GM is going to have to start selling off his assests (which is how it should be) if he wants to keep the doors open. I'm not seeing any future money headed their way.........
