Sorry for the lack of updates. December is a busy month ...

- Anyhow this update marks 7 weeks in 12/12 !!! getting close now!!!.
- Got all previous nute issues figured out and growth has been rapid. The cola on the biggest plant is HUGE!!!

Some observations with the Solarstorm LED light:

- Turned the UVB lights on for the past couple of weeks. Not sure if this makes a difference but is a cool built in feature of the light
- Light penetration is really good! My tent is basically too small for the light.
- The tops of the tallest cola has light bleaching (some of the leaves at the top are white). It's 6" away from the light which is too close but I don't have room. No big deal though.

Pictures show growth from day 61 to day 75.

Stopped feeding her nutes about a week ago and her leaves are starting to curl up and dry.

Closeup is from one of the smaller LOWER bud sites. Unfortunately don't have a microscope ... is she ready to chop?

Pistils have been turning orange all week. About half of them are turned ... and fragrance of plant is really sweet now like candy.

They look beautiful, good job.

Nice enough that I will keep my eyes on this led light. I have yet to make the switch to LED but I have been interested for a few years. I have been waiting for them to get more dialed in on what we are doing.

Really nice dude, how much was the led light?
Got it on sale for $599 (regular $999) direct from the manufacturer californialightworks.com through their grower feedback sale program. You get a HUGE discount on their lights if you agree to post a journal once you start using it.

Don't see many Amber Trichomes yet but wondering whether these ones would be considered CLEAR or CLOUDY?

Plants have not really grown much in the past few days .. the pistils are just turning orange it seems.

HARVEST TIME YET??!!

Starting to see trichomes mostly cloudy and some amber now. See closeup.

Last week made a small batch of budder cookies from a lower bud site and they Blew My Mind. Last week the trichomes were mostly clear with a bit of cloudy.

Now they are mostly cloudy with a bit of Amber.
What do you guys think? Chop?

Approx 9.5 weeks of 12/12 complete. (93 days since the seeds were planted)

Lots of Amber trichs now. Hopefully the waiting has made for better bud.

So harvest time NOW FINALLY :-)

Very nice. Thanks for sharing the info. I'm researching to decide between the Solarstorm 400, the Blackdog BD360u or the Hydrogrow 189x for a 5x4 grow area.

Got approximately 6 Ounces Dry in total off these three plants:

Plant 1: 263g wet trimmed and manicured (in its own pot)
Plant 2: 185g wet trimmed and manicured (shared a pot)
Plant 3: 230g wet trimmed and manicured (shared a pot)

Worked out to about 6 Ounces dry in total!

Overall VERY PLEASED with the California Lightworks 400W Solarstorm.

Some notes on the light:

1. Light was too powerful for my small tent with 3 plants. Especially near the end when they got really close to the lights. I guess this is a good thing if you know how to LST ...

2. Light could use an ON OFF switch. Had to use the power bar switch to turn it on and off. You need to turn it off to inspect the plants because it's otherwise so strong you can't see if your leaves are light green dark green or yellowing ..

3. Electricity bill went up about $20 per month average while the light was on. The Bloom feature and UVB boosts the output so even though the light is on less during FLowering it uses the same amount of power as Vegging mode.

Considering this was my first grow, and first LED grow I would consider it a huge success!!!
