Most people check their trichomes but are looking at the sugar leaves which is not correct. Also shade the bud your looking at as some times the trichomes look white and in reality what your seeing is the lights being reflected which is more noticeable under hps and burple led. Also agree with hillbill on this.
Calyx's instead of sugar leaves? Other? Thx.

Looking good:weed:! At this stage browning on tips of the leaves isn't a bad thing. The way the top leaves roll up on the side like that tells me the plant is eating well and growing fast. Good signs.

I can really see a difference over the last week. Nice work man!

Now to tweak the brain some. I always do a 5 day full flush in my home grow. Its just is what I have always done and it works. But if we break it down from a horticultural standpoint, is one really needed? The answer would technical be no. At a basic level, what happens during proper curing is a plant using its remaining energy sources to preserve itself. Meaning a proper cure should remove any leftover nutes. At the dispensary we run full nutes till we harvest and then about a 4 week curing process. The thought behind it is more production since feeding never stops. If it was my call we would flush but it does produce more and the smoke is just fine so its whatever I guess lol. :joint:

Not saying dont flush... Please do haha just more food for thought.

Its aloha friday here, hope you're havin' a good :eyesmoke: start to the weekend...

The smell seems to be evolving, predominately overripe tropicalness, pineapple seems to stand out the most, there is now a sense of cheese?funk....undertone. There have been times i check my socks wondering wtf.

EC is now @ 2.2 (1050ppm) and runoff @ 1.5 (750ppm)

Gorgeous light and Grow SMT69 I'm in the process of building an F-strip light right now for my 2x4 tent. I have 32 of the f526b strips in 3500k and my 24 inch heatsinks from heatsink usa are being shipped.
I was trying to decide on a wattage to go with as i fucked up and ordered hlg240h24 blank drivers which can't be dimmed. So I'm now trying to pick out what driver to reorder. I Love your setup and think that the 480h24b is a great idea! Do you think that it's sufficient wattage for the space? is there anything about your design you would change in retrospect?
Additionally Where is your driver mounted, and how did you wire it to be outside of the grow space.

Sorry for the barrage of questions, This light is just EXACTLY what i was hoping to stumble upon!

Darn near impossible to hold her steady for photos, parden the blurs, I'll try again tomorrow

Those are some of the best pic's I have ever seen taken through a loupe! Looks like you are getting close! I see a couple heads are starting to look cloudy. It seems many people have their own preference for when they like to pull. what is your desired ratio of clear to milky to amber?

ty kindly A, great choice on the lights, you're gonna luv them. I'm gonna taken um till all cloudy and just a smidgen of amber, almost there (its a cheapy microscope)

Your space is same of mine, you could push almost 500w with that driver if you wanted, way overkill from what im seeing. @350w and 10-12" high over the canopy you can expect 45w per sq feet, 65,000 lux @ 900-950ppfd...any higher i got stressed tops, but if you dial in all variables you could push it further..

for your setup it would be more than enough power, then you can dim up and down and adjust throught the grow

the driver is mounted just outside the tent attatched to the wall, all cords run thru the tent vent holes

highly recommend the 480h. I built the setup to run the driver at 50-75% so it would run cool. If you max the drivers they get really hot! something im dealing with my qb's in my veg tent.

If i was to do it again, i would get the A verision of that driver (480h-24A i believe), it lets you adjust voltage also...the B verision allows you to have a remote dimmer but you cant adjust voltage just current(power), and something you may need (A) with more strips, im not sure

Best of luck to ya, lemme know if ya start a journal.

You are amazing, thank you for taking time time to type out that super thorough reply! That all sounds exactly in line with what I was thinking would work best for me. Hope you see emulation as a sincere form of flattery because I'm copying your ass.

I'm planning on doing a growlog on a couple of my cultivars that I couldn't find enough info on, so hopefully future prospective buyers can get a look at what they are in for.
For genetics im going to start off with cali connections pre98 bubba and two dman seeds cultivars that share a dad that's g13x black widow, red widow-13 is x ecsd and red haze the other is Blaze its x morrocan hp and lebanese hp.
Although I am thinking seriously about getting tga's querkle as a daytime smoke and their deadlights as a high cbd option.
But the better half has been eager to remind me in already 1/3 over budget, so that's probably going to have to wait for my second run!

:leaf:Did the chop today @ 65 days 12/12, 9 weeks n 2 days.

Spent most of the day wet trimming, using a multi tier screen rack for the dry.

Moved my veg gear into one of the flowering tents, and the drying rack went in the veg tent, scrubber on high, temps @ 70f and humidity about 60%, will monitor and adjust as I go along, will attempt a nice slow dry n cure.

A little chuckle for the evening....stay medicated :leaf:
