edit: title should read "200 watt"

Hi everyone,

First time growing these strains indoors (I'm realtively new to growing altogether). These 2 had trouble in the beginning, for about a month they were in my basement at 17 degrees celsius. Ouch. Then I moved them upstairs and they really took off! I vegged for another month then switched to 12/12. Cindy is at 39 days since the first pistils and Dr. Grin, Medicine Woman is at 36 days since first pistils.

I gotta say, the smell off Cindy is absolutely phenomenal. Pure pineapple juice. I had no idea marijuana could smell like this! No one could even think I'm growing weed just by the smell. Of course if they look at her they'll say "oh you're growing weed", because she doesn't look at all like a pineapple plant. Although I have no idea what a pineapple plant looks like. But I think I could recognize it when I would see the pineapples.

ANYWHO

Dr. Grin, Medicine Woman on the other hand smells like nothing. Cindy's smell invades everything. While Cindy has a little more than 2 weeks left, Dr. Grin looks like she's gonna go a full 100 days flowering, so roughly 10 weeks left! I'm loving this experiment. Dr. grin has that classic sativa stretchy look. I love her and can't wait to shoot hot air through her buds to see if she is worth the wait. :joint:

A few pics for you lovely folks:

Here is the top of my Dr Grinspoon at day 96 since first pistils! And she's got at least a week and a half left to go... I'll post decent pics of her just before harvest.

Judging by pistils alone, your Dr. Grinspoon has much more than 1.5 weeks to go. Looks more like 3-4 at least, but then again, this may be one of those plants that hardly gets any red hairs.

You are very brave for growing this plant under CFLs!

I'm gonna post some pics of the harvest (which was in June 2013) in a few days.

This is some spectacular weed. The smell and taste are out of this world and unique. It is well worth the 5-month flowering time. I hadn't planned on growing it again but the high is so amazing that I'll definitely find it under lights soon enough :)

Glad to hear the smoke was worth the wait. How was the cindy to grow under cfls? I've been thinking of non-bagseed seeds and this keeps popping up. Any heads ups?

I've wanted the doc for a few years now but I wouldn't do it under cfl. Lol. I'm impatient enough with hps. how did she smell throughout flowering?

She was a bit on the cat pissy side but she was next to a fruity Cindy 99 who's sent overpowered all others so it's hard to say... I remember thinking she smelled almost exactly like my Mandala #1 of last year.

Her cured scent is miles away from that though. It's like a heavenly extinct fruit

Were you able to get the trichs amber with those cfls ? I'm at 9.5 weeks of flowering with nothing amber.

Yeah I got them amber eventually but it took 15 weeks of flowering! It was well worth it though :)

congrats , thats some nice looking lady you got there .
just one advice , i think you could get better production on those cfls if you top and lst your plant, if you make a flat canopy instead of a Pine tree type . but that just my opinion offcourse! dont take it wrong
never the less its looks great ;)
