C.A.P. OZN-Jr Ozone Generator

hey man, I think you would be better off with a uvonair ozone generator. the sizes are 1000, 3000 and 5000. all representing the square ft size they will treat. That thing your looking at is a waste of money imo. If you dont have good airflow exchange dont put it in your grow room. too much ozone will kill plants.

I just bought this OZN-1 locally for about two hundred. Says it does 5500 cubic feet.

http://www.nehydro.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=9&products_id=46

My grow area is about 7x7x7 (feet).

It's not sealed up and lots of heat escapes from the room, as well as smell. It's almost outside really.

I'm wondering what kind of schedule I should put it on ?

I hear it is bad to leave it on all the time in a sealed room but mine's not sealed.

Thanks! :peace:

I got one on eBay for $70 shipped that cycles on/off from like 15 different sets. I usually do 2 min on and 1 hr off. I put the ozone generator in my grow cabinet for two days and the leaves went to shit, so don't do that. Instead I just have it in a closet and it works wonders. You can do other stuff with ozone too. I put it in my vehicle for 15 minutes and it freshens the smell. Gargle with water treated by ozone and you can get that nasty taste out of your mouth after smoking or after brushing teeth. I just gave some ozonated water to the regular porch plants, so we'll see how that works.

Bumping this thread back up, I'm thinking of purchasing the same ozone generator (Cap model that covers 5500 square feet). Even though I have carbon filters on my tents, I run CO2 which means that some odor escapes because my exhaust fans are virtually never running.

I grow in my garage, and the air in there stays in there, so would that preclude me from using one of these?

I'm fairly certain it wouldn't, but would love some input.

The garage is 20x10, and the tents are 4x4 and 3x4 (although the 4x4 is getting replaced by an 8x4 soon).

Figured I'd run it for ten minutes every hour or something like that.

Thanks for any feedback, +rep to anyone who tries.

i wouldn't put one of these in your actual room maybe where you enter and exit the room, a ozone generator would defeat the object of using co2 because it uses the co2 to turn to o3

Hey everyone, i was wondering if this was good to be inside your grow room?
growing white label - purple haze.... will this thing produce oxygen? clears odor? smeems like it does alot to be true....let me know if anyone has heard anything about this...

The C.A.P. OZN-Jr Ozone Generator attacks and neutralizes odors. It eliminates odors caused by smoke, mold, mildew, pets, cooking and damp basements by generating ozone (03) - one of the most powerful oxidizers available. O3 doesn't just mask odors, it neutralizes odors at the source, then harmlessly converts to CO2 and oxygen. It cycles at 10 minutes on and 10 minutes off. Perfect for small areas or rooms. It comes complete with a 3 year warranty. Good for deodorizing up to 1000 square feet.
Yo I just bought this same model from my local hydro shop. Set that bad boy up, left the room, took a leak, got a beer, voila!! In like 5 mins I couldn't smell my green at all. This thing definitely works. I have a closet grow and it was making my whole room and just beyond my BR door stank!!!! All gone now baby!!! I'm doing some experimenting with a timer to see how long I can leave it off without the smell returning, as too much ozone is bad. I have good ventilation so I shouldn't have to sweat that thing killing my ladies too much. If you have ever aired your house out in the spring (windows and doors open), that's kinda what it leaves the area smelling like. Idk how long it will last, but it's under warranty so it doesn't matter, I'll get a new one. I would recommend the 1000 sq ft for you closet growers out there. As said before, make sure it's getting good ventilation and consider the possibility of cycling it on/off.

So it's been about an hour and forty minutes since I ran my gen for the 10 minute cycle and my room still seems to be pretty neutral as far as odor is concerned. The closets themselves faintly smell like weed. BTW, my setup is two closets, one is 3'x4' and about 7.5' high (flowering) and the other 2.5'x3.5' and about 6' high (veg). I have my generator on the outside of my closets. I don't have a big setup as I got a sausagefest for the seeds I ordered :( !!!!! I have 2 monstrous 4ft tall ladies flowering. I also have 4 in my new found experiment SCROGing in a vegetative stage. I think I will set my timer for every 2 hrs with the gen running for ten minute intervals. Hope this helps anyone interested in buying this ozone generator.

The product works well, but breaks within a year. It does have a 3 year warranty, but CAP customer service is horrible to say the least. I have been waiting for my replacement unit for over 3 weeks, after being told it would be send out the next day. I have spoke with numerous employees at R&M Supply aka CAP on numerous occasions including the COO and I still do not have my product and it's still not even being shipped. After many phone calls with the company, they admit they have issues with returned items and their process is broken for dealing with defective equipment. I would highly recommend buying from another company!!! They have let me down as a consumer, choose another product or it could happen to you. The employees will not even let you speak with the owner.
